  6. I don't know, he is getting pretty fat laying around the house eating all the time!!!!!
  7. Ashton's surgery was a success and his range of motion in the surgically repaired knee is 140 degrees (basically back to normal) after 10 days of rehab. He reached his 6 week goal after 10 days. The staples have been removed from the knee but still has a little too much swelling. His goal is to return to the mat by freestyle season and if all goes well an outside chance to be back by folkstyle state. Thanks to all for the kind words for Ashton. He should be able to start travelling with the team soon and wishes all good luck on the season.

  9. I'm sure Danny needs to mind his P's and Q's around his sisters....lol
  10. He might make it back before the end of freestyle season, but the goal for now is to have him perfectly healthy for next season.
  11. Ashton has decided to forgo his junior year of wrestling in order to proceed with ACL replacement surgery. He injured his knee training for the upcoming season approximately 1 month ago. After consulting with an orthopedic surgeon, his initial thought was to wrestle the season with a brace and have surgery following the high school season. However, due to the severity of his pain, the lack of mobility on his feet and the risk of more damage to his knee, he has elected to move forward with the surgery as soon as possible. Ashton was a SSQ last year and had his eyes on Conseco for this season. However as circumstances arise, his dreams and goals will be put off for a year. Ashton wishes his many friends across the Indiana wrestling community good luck on the season and hopes all of you have great seasons and reach your goals. Ashton looks forward to competing with many of you in the future. Wendell Chitwood Columbus East Wrestling
  12. Newly Weds On their first night to be together, the newly wed couple go to change. The new bride comes out of the bathroom, all showered and wearing her beautiful robe. The proud husband says, 'my dear, we are married now, you can open your robe.' The beautiful young woman opens her robe, and he is astonished. 'Oh, oh, aaaahhh,' he exclaims, 'My God you are so beautiful, let me take your picture. Puzzled she asks, 'MY picture?' He answers, 'yes my dear, so I can carry your beauty next to my heart forever'. She smiles and he takes her picture, and then he heads into the bathroom to shower. He comes out wearing his robe and the new wife asks, 'why do you wear a robe? We are married now.' at that the man opens his robe and she exclaims, 'oh, OH, OH MY, let me get a picture'. He beams and asks, 'why?' She answers, 'SO I CAN GET IT ENLARGED'!
  13. Setting the ground rules A young couple, just married, were in their honeymoon suite on their wedding night. As they undressed for bed, the husband, who was a big burly man, tossed his pants to his bride and said, "here put these on." She put them on, and the waist was twice the size of her body. "I can't wear your pants," she said. "That's right!!" said the husband, "and don't you forget it. I'm the man who wears the pants in this family!" With that she flipped him her panties and said, "Try these on." He tried them on and found he could only get them on as far as his kneecaps. He said, "Hell, I can't get into your panties!" She said, "That's right, and that's the way it's going to be until you change your attitude..."
  14. TAE, I feel pretty confident that the information you have about Rick Chitwood is not correct. The Rick Chitwood that was a state qualifier at HWT in 1980 was not associated with The Indiana Grappler/The American Grappler.
  15. Does this mean that Greco State will be at the fairgrounds? Where will junior Freestyle State be held?
  16. Border Wars usually has tournaments at Hunnington North and Lawrence Central in October.
  17. It would have been great for my son to go to Fargo that he qualified for. However, after attending all of the state tournaments, folkstyle nationals, Disney Duals and monthly dues at an elite club there is no money left to go to Fargo (which is by far the most expensive of the trips). So for us it came down to going to Disney or going to Fargo. Obviously, Florida is a hell of a lot more fun than Fargo and is a better vacation type environment and will get 10 or so folkstyle matches against quality competition. Fargo is the premier national event and I wish I could have sent my son, but cost was the overwelming factor. Hopefully the future will bring the event closer to Indiana and the ISWA can find ways to ease the cost for wrestlers to attend.
