I would have to put Jennings County on the list. If I remember the Coach correctly they can fit 6 mats on the floor. It has bleachers on 3 sides for fans. They do a really nice job of putting on tournaments at this facility.

I wish it was a little more centrally located for the New Castle Semi-State. A lot of the Richmond Regional would have an almost 2 hr drive. It would have also been nice to have the information a little sooner in the season. Would have liked to send some kids to this meet but we scheduled our JV team to go to a multi dual meet so they could get matches.

I will see how much interest we have. Our varsity is in a two day meet on that Thursday and Friday. I also need to see if our AD will let me make a two hour trip. Thanks so much for the info.

Can anyone confirm if Eastern Hancock is back in the Shenandoah/Tri Sectional?

Rushville has a couple changes:
12/7/22 The match with Richmond is a Home meet for Rushville not away
12/29/22 & 12/30/22 Spartan Classic not 12/27/22
1/7/23 out Fendley Hall of Fame @ Zionsville
In Paul Logan Memorial Invite @ North Central
1/14/23 EIAC @ Lawrenceburg not Franklin County
Thanks

What an honor. Coach K is a class act. She always has her kids ready to compete. Very excited for her and USA wrestling, what an awesome opportunity. Very well deserved. Good Luck Coach!

Joe Garland from Rushville. Finished 4th at New Castle and went all the way to the Finals the next week. Wesley Bernard from Cathedral won Semi-State over Donte Winfield form Perry Meridian. Joe lost to Dakota Ramey from North Montgomery in the 3/4 match. The next week Joe was in the finals after beating Oglesby from Ben Davis, Bartoszek from Hanover Central and Bernard from Cathedral. That set up a match with Winfield in the finals which he lost. NC went 1,2,3 at the state that year.
What a fun state run that was!!

I think if you push 195 to 200 and 285 to 300 and add 250 in the middle it might get more football kids out. I know in the past we have had some kids that weighed around 300 and did not want to lose weight for football. Just a thought.

I can not believe someone has not mentioned Alan Grammer from Evansville Rietz. 2x State runner up. He was like a 5 time NCAA All-American. Had 2 DII National titles back when the qualified for the DI nationals where he was an AA twice. I believe he beat Oklahoma State coach John Smith a couple times while in college. Pretty impressive.

Having grown up in Clinton County, wrestled and coached in the county in a time before Rossville had a team it is awesome to see them crown their first state placer and Champion. I remember being at New Castle to see their first ever qualifier punch his ticket and to see Coach Lynch punch his as well. I still root for all of my home county teams(unless we are wrestling them which we haven't had to yet). Congrats to the Hornets of Rossville High School, the coaching staff and especially Noah Weaver!!! You wrestled well all weekend and you deserved everything you got!!!
