I like where high school state is now. I would like to see merriville semi-state moved to a more spectator friendly venue! Can't figure out how merriville has a strangle hold on this event since you can't see wrestlers on 2 mats when your on a one side of the gym! If the Ihsaa really wanted to promote important events as these, they need to take charge and do what is best for not only the wrestlers but for the paying fans as well.

Beat kids in practice?....Practice? really? Was it 6 min matches? Was it groups of 4 for takedowns? I highly doubt that if it really counted half of those would not be beaten that you mentioned! all those kids you called out are pretty good! micic is one of indiana best. great family,I wish him and all the wrestlers the best

I think thats why bellmont is such a great dual team tournament. Teams will wrestle each other 2 or 3 times during the course of the year and coaches will make adjustments. B.South looks like they are getting better which is evident by the big turn around in the penn dual. Its not how you start out, its how you finish up!

For sure swing match at 32 but i give the edge again to martsoff on experience. Bonus points for mish at 6,38,45,220. Bonus points for penn at 20,52,285. Swing matches at 13,60,82. ( osborne barely got by proctor the second match). mishawakas 26 majored penns guy 12-1.. I got mishawaka winning 8 out of 14 weights . pins for mishawaka or penn will decide the dual. It is going to be a great dual between two very good teams, can"t wait till thursday!

lakeshore had their varsity lineup at mishawaka. coach for lakeshore confirmed most of their lineup was jv at the penn tourney.I think the mish/penn dual will be a fun one to watch with lots of swing matches! I do agree that the final score will be close either way. potential matchups?

mishawaka out? If you look up their lineup you would know they have some wrestlers who are highly ranked. Penn wrestling has really come on in the last few years and have done a great job of building their program but i think you are underestimating the cavemen! Was also there at penn and saw the dual with valpo. alot of matches could have gone either way. It was a great dual to watch! I believe mishawaka defeated valpo recently as well.
