At Zionsville, #3 Thomas Penola (Z) over #2 Jaden Sonners (NA) 17-8. It was an exhibition match, but the whole gym was watching.

Did kendrex from mt vernon beat Coffman from union county? If so..what was the score
Coffman didn’t wrestle against Mt. Vernon. He was sick.

Who did Williams lose to... Koors or Foster ? What was the result?
He lost to Koors in final OT. Koors was able to ride him out.

Coffman wrestled 160 at Milan earlier this year. I have even heard rumors of him dropping to 152...again just rumors.

I have seen several situations that were not as extreme as this video and was blown out. I know it’s new this year, but I think it would great to have all officials watch this video. It may make no difference at all, but I think this will help clear things up.

Actually Noblesville beat Columbus North and went 5-0.
Thanks. It was hard to keep track without having the team scores posted anywhere.

Triton Central has a new coach. His name is Trey Miller. I don’t recall who the previous coach was.
-
Teams that were there were:
Columbus North
Lapel
Western Boone
Shelbyville
Noblesville
Triton Central
Not 100% positive but I believe Columbus North went 5-0.

I am curious to know what other schools' weightlifting classes do on match day or game days. Do your PE/strength and conditioning /weightlifting classes lift on match or game day? If so, what is the rationale? If not, what modifications are made? I would appreciate feedback from anyone, but specifically from coaches who are also PE/lifting teachers.
Thanks.

Not really arguing in favor or against anything just a thought I had, Indiana's B1G programs have been mediocre for a while but our other programs (Wabash, Uindy, InTech, Trine, etc.) have seen quite a bit of success.
I do agree that some of Indiana's smaller schools are having success because the top tier programs overlook some of our guys, and I do think we have some guys that could compete at D1 level. That being said, if most of the guys were in a D1 Big Ten program, they may not have the success because the Big Ten is brutal. Not a knock on the wrestler, just a compliment to how deep the Big Ten is.

I think he grows into a linebacker

I think I counted 13 but I could be wrong. 14 would be 25%.
14: Black, Ragle, Pugsley, Schaefer, Surguy, Redd, Negangard, Bane, Gee, Ruberg, Rolfes, Parris, Selm, and Minges.
Not a bad showing for the Richmond Regional.
Also the EIAC sent 9 qualifiers. 8 from New Castle and Dylan Cain of Greensburg got through Evansville. Great job EIAC

At 113, it is Joya from Rushville...
-
I'm gonna send you a message Coach.

Calderon vs Rolfes in the semis will be a good one too.
I'm pretty excited to see Calderon vs Mitts in round one. Mitts is a solid 6'3 and Calderon is probably 5'6....if nothing else they are completely different builds!

So if it's after Jan. 1, it is technically 4 pounds...2 for the growth and 2 on top of that correct?

Arlington, Daleville, Frankfort, Mount Vernon(Fortville), Pike, Rushville, Walnut Hills(OH), Zionsville.
Mt. Vernon Posey will be wrestling, not Mr. Vernon Fortville.
-
Rushville is not in this tournament anymore.

Zionsville is hosting an 8 team tournament....Zionsville, Pike, Mt. Vernon Posey, Frankfurt, Daleville, Arlington, Walnut Hills OH, and Rushville.

I was VERY impressed with Mason Winner from Jay County. Not only pinned Waugh in the finals at 145, but was the only freshman to place at that weight. The rest of the place winners were juniors and seniors. Very impressive.

The two teams were in different pools and did not wrestle in the cross over so both coaches agreed to wrestle the match at the end of the day. It’s great to see both coaches and wrestlers want this match to happen. So many times you see people shuffle around to avoid the big match up. Hats off to Zionsville and New Albany!
