Deondre Wilson should be ranked #3 at 120! He is on all roll beating Martin, sparks and now Mantel. This kid is on a mission. 120 state champ is not out of the question for this kid.

I'm expecting a good year from Huntington's Tanner Shipley. I can remember great matches as youngsters between him and Garrett Wilson.

Why drop to 126?, 132 appears to be much easier. 126 is looking pretty solid.

Miller News, sorry I wasn't more specific. I did indeed mean Semi-State champs. That's why I put it under New Castle Semi-State. I don't believe that's a target on either one of these wrestlers, if you've been around wrestling in Indiana for the last 8 years, trust me, these two names aren't a secret. One is ranked #1 and the other is ranked #3 in the state!

Looks like Coach Red will have 2 Champs this year. Cash at 120 (he'll take this one, no Boston in his way) and Red at 106. Not a bad start to his first year running things for the Dragons.

Wyatt Seng at 106? WOW! I think he wrestled 126 or 132 at freestyle state back in May. He should be a good one if he gets down there. If not anything else, he'll be the biggest. -
This appears to be one of the better tournaments to start the season. Lets hear some predictions! I'm hoping I can make it to this one, there seems there are several ranked wrestlers that will be going at it. 106: #14 McKinney vs #16 Johnson 113: #5 Cottey vs #7 Wilson 126: #1 James vs # 4 Martin 132 # 1 LeCount vs # 15 Smiley (he's at BG now) 182: #1 Massengale vs # 8 Perdue 285: # 1 Winfield vs # 14 Jolley-Little

I could see the Irish of Cathedral making a strong run under the new (OLD) format.

A reliable source told me that Cottey from Perry Meridian was going 106 and Johnson from Perry Meridian was going 113. Also, Nick Ellis was going 106 for Roncalli, I would think he should be up there somewhere. Of course a lot of these guys weights could shift in the next 4 months.

WrestleMan, I would agree with you reference Wedding, however, I thought he would be going 132 this year. If he goes 126, I would definitely say he is top 5.

I thought the boys did fairly well, we did seem a little off at times fighting off the guts and laces. N. Boston is an exceptional wrestler, but he too seemed a little off. I know there is a difference in Freestyle and Folkstyle but a couple of our studs stumbled a little. Overall though, great trip!
