  1. I'd go with the following: Micic - think he'll win it all.... 99.6% he'll AA Lee - 87.8% he will AA; 46.2% he'll finish top 4 Parris - 67.8% he will AA; 32.3% he'll finish top 4 Red - 44.1% he will AA Lydy - 19.4% he will AA Harvey - 15.6% he will AA
  2. No clue what is happening in the Clay Singleton - Gabe Sollars match. Track showed Singleton ahead 4-0 into the 3rd period and now has Sollars winning 7-1.
  3. Wrestling at higher weights and amassing 11 losses.... Perhaps 145 is his true home.
  4. Trizton Carson injury defaults to Carson Brewer 0:00 - Details??
  5. Some early finals results between ranked wrestlers (or match ups that are just interesting to me)" Avon @106 #8 Logan Miller dec over #12 Blaze Garcia 2-1 TB1 @113 #17 KT Nelson dec over #13 Cameron Allen 4-1 @120 #6 Kysen Montgomery dec over #11 Tyler Conley 3-1 SV1 @126 #4 Ray Rioux MD over #10 Evan Lawhead 11-0 @132 #1 Asa Garcia MD over #7 Logan Boe 11-3 @138 #8 Drew Kreitzer by inj def over #15 Jaden Reynolds (Reynolds was leading 7-6 in the 3rd period. Hope it's nothing serious) @145 Unranked Camden Chatterton by fall 3:48 over #12 LJ Burdon (Chatterton was ahead 8-4) Southport @138 #2 Tyce Frieje dec over #9 Gabe Smith 6-3 Arsenal Tech @126 #9 Chase Wilkerson dec over #6 Lukasz Walendzak 2-1 @138 #17 Chris Wilkerson dec over #16 Andrew Wilson 1-0 Castle @120 #20 Sam Scott dec over #7 Devon Casebolt 7-2 A few other random observations... - The LaPorte Sectional only had 2 entrants at 113. Has that happened before? - Culver Military's Brandon Cernus had a :07 fall in the semifinals. Can anyone top that for fastest pin on the day? - Evansville Central Finals are about to start, but Mater Dei has advanced all 14 wrestlers to the Regional. Others?
  6. Not really big upsets, but from the semifinals in Avon: Tyler Conley dec Camden Spears 5-2 Logan Boe dec Drake Campbel 6-1
  7. Just a quick shout out to Doug wishing you a Happy Birthday and continued positive happenings in your life. Have a great evening and make your way to Castle or Central tomorrow and take in Sectionals!
  8. Thanks for picking me up. I had to step into the other room and paused the TV, so I was about 8 minutes behind. That was a HUGE win for Mason, sealing the Michigan win over that team from Ohio!
  9. Don't look now but the Michigan - Ohio State match may very well come down to Mason Parris vs. Chase Singletary at the end. Right now, Michigan is ahead 10-9 with 5 matches to go. Each team is expected to win 2 with the 285 finale. Parris will have to avenge an earlier 16-9 loss to Singletary in an open tournament (Cleveland Open?) Back at Purdue, Dylan Lydy wrestles Mark Hall tough but drops a 6-2 decision. Jacob Aven drops a major decision to Anthony Cassar and Penn State wins the dual 30-10.
  10. Nick Lee and Stevan Micic both wrestling at the same time... Micic absolutely punishes Luke Pletcher. Wins by major 14-1 Nick Lee does what he does and majors Nate Limmex 17-6
  11. Aside from Penn State visiting West Lafayette tonight, Michigan is at Ohio State this evening at 7:00 ET on Big Ten Network. Anyone with BTN in their cable or satellite package can watch for free. PSU @ Purdue is available on Flo or BTN2GO. Both require a subscription. BTN2GO subs can be done by the month. $9.95 for one school or $14.95 for all schools for the month.
  12. That book is a damned good read
  13. I'm a big fan of 2012.... Stevan Micic Nathan Boston Hayden Lee Tommy Cash DJ Smith Kayla Miracle Zach Davis Connor Knapp Jacob Brown Jacob Cottey Sawyer Miller etc....
  14. I would, but not sure how to find all the info. Its a lot easier when you can look it up on Track and click on a wrestler and get his profile and quickly see prior and future years. But I can do a quck list of the guys here: Kyle Ayersman - Lake Central Shannon Garretsor - Peru Mason Todd - Pendleton Heights Bryan Kuhn - Evansville Reitz Travis Bryant - Muncie Central Cameron Halstead - Crown Point Dusty Keif - Franklin Community Jared McKinley - Perry Meridian Cody Phillips - Union County Dylan Hall - Evansville Harrison Aurleio Medina - Munster Todd Batt - South Adams Jacob Boomsma - Bloomington South Brian Harvey - Indianapolis Cathedral Abraham Que - Elkhart Central Zach Stevens - Merrilville This is close to the time I started following wrestling in IN closely again, so I don't know some of these names. My initial thought is this group matches the 2016 group at the top, but the 2016 group is deeper.
  15. Looking through the rankings and then some old State brackets and as I always do, found a strong past bracket I thought was worth mentioning. Titled it this way in case anyone else wants to add other brackets. 2016 - 106 Strong bracket with 14 of the 16 wrestlers qualifying for State at least one other time. This group at this point has amassed 27 total State Placements and 6 State Titles, led by..... Asa Garcia - 2 Titles Brayden Curtis - 2 Titles Hunter Watts - 1 Title Jacob Moran - 1 Title Ty Mills - 4x State Placer 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd 7 wrestlers will begin competing Saturday for one last chance to make it to Banker's Life and onto the podium. They are: Asa Garcia - #1 at 132 Jacob Moran - #1 at 113 Hunter Watts and Brayden Curtis - the top 2 challengers to Super Frosh Jesse Mendez at 126 Sammy Fair Lukasz Walendzak Devon Casebolt
  16. Here is a great article from the same Centre Daily Times on Nick's return to Indiana. Looks like there are going to be a lot of Mater Dei red and gold in Bloomington Sunday. Two other notes: 1. I've seen in two different places that Nick will face Kyle Luigs Sunday (one was MD's Twitter feed) 2. In two places, I have seen the expected lineups and neither has listed Paul Konrath as a possibility at 133 or 141. Both of these sources were from the Penn State side, so I'm not sure if they are just going on IU's match against Purdue where Pepple started at 133 or if there is something going on with Paul I don't know. The last time I saw him he was kicking butt in a major dec win against Maryland. Anyone have any insight here? Nick Lee Embracing Challenges Ahead of His Indiana Homecoming
  17. I was guessing Turkish Prison.... But Montana w/ 10k cats is pretty close
  18. He is correct on the latter with Alex Johnson's draw changing and landing on Chad Red on Friday night. If I recall correctly, Johnson defaulted both the semifinals and 3rd/4th Place match to 4th Place. It's pure speculation, but he'd have likely finished 3rd. Instead, brackets come out and then boom, they disappear and reappear with Chad Red on the line across.
  19. On Rasheed. Cael Sanderson indicated it's a minor injury. Manville is scheduled to wrestle in a tournament this weekend so the spot will go to either Austin Hoopes or Francisco Bisono. Centre Daily Times
  20. Rumor was the flu. Guess that makes sense. Vincenzo Joseph missed a few matches from it as well Last weekend Mason Manville, a 165 lb'er stepped in for him.
  21. I went back and watched the match again and it was pretty nasty. He hit the mat hard and as you said, it was head and neck taking the full force. The video is on TW for those that bought the event. The slam is right at the 7:00 mark. Good to see he is back and hopefully at full strength.
