  1. I think TeamGarcia is now working Mat 20 and got the teams backward again on purpose! 4th match and the team colors are finally corrected. Team and individual scores from the 1st 3 are still wrong. Got any Clown GIFs??
  2. I'll give James Ralph some credit. He looked much more ready and aggressive in that match than he did this morning. Of course, the other wrestler has something to do with that. Unfortunately for MD, his aggressiveness was used against him with the nice throw by Deckard. With a 7 point lead, Center Grove felt better with Deckard against Ralph than with Deckard against Critchfield and one of their other two guys against Ralph. The FF to Critchfield and bump of Deckard to 285 paid off. Kudos for the move.
  3. There is a separate thread for results....
  4. It's right at every other table.... they've done this twice and can't get it fixed. I have no sound, and they can't even get the scoreboard right. At some point, rather than make excuses, maybe they should just get it right, like every other mat going. We're 4 matches in and no one has figured out to stop and get it right. You say relax, I say Clown Show! Let's just give everybody a participation trophy and sing Bobby McPherrin since trying is good enough.
  5. Mat 19 is on a roll..... got the teams wrong again! How many matches will it take them to figure it out this time?? Pretty sure the score of the 1st match should be a 7-1 decision over Charlie LaRocca.
  6. It was partially off camera, but my guess is that Baumann gave him a shove out of bounds after letting him up. Didn't see how Barrett landed or if anything other than the shove itself ticked him off, but as they both went back to the center of the mat Barrett was jawing a bit and shoved Baumann. It looked like his hands were to Brody's face. Not a punch or a slap, just a hard push. The referee immediately DQ'd him. Couldn't quite see all of it because no one was moving the camera as wrestling left the view and sound was turned off. The no audio thing to me is just a bad decision. Either put people on the table that aren't going to curse, talk about boyfriends, etc (stuff we've heard in the past) or simply give the user the option to Mute themselves. Having the choice would be nice.
  7. Love seeing the bump up to get that match. It's weird, I thought the referee gave Mendez 2 + 2 back points at the end, making it 10-4. Yet, whoever was operating the TW scoreboard didn't bother putting up either and it shows 6-4. You have it 8-4. I have no clue what's correct. ha ha
  8. Tell them to watch it without sound at home. Dumb choice!! I'll add... If they turn the audio on, the viewer at home has the choice to mute. Doing it this way takes the choice out of the viewers hands. That said, thanks for trying. And IF you are still near, tell them to get the teams right in the MD - Carmel match. On match #3 and they still have them backward. Update: They got the teams switched back but didn't bother fixing the scores from the first 2 matches. Lots of brilliance there today!
  9. They have the teams backward on the Track Scoreboard. It's showing Carmel and Jack Milligan with an 11-0 lead, but it should be the opposite. Maybe they can turn on the audio when they fix that? #wishfulthinking
  10. Are you working on the audio at Brownsburg? Surely you have a little pull!
  11. Credit Cathedral, they wrestled well on top and won the swing matches. Irish move on to face Crown Point. Man, some audio at Brownsburg would be nice. Team Garcia, can you work on that between rounds, for those of us a home?
  12. Got a #2 over #1 for Perry Meridian's Matt Koontz knocks off Hayden Watson 5-4
  13. Generally speaking, Mater Dei has had trouble getting off bottom and from their feet, not getting in deep enough on shots and getting flattened out. Those two things have certainly hurt them, especially in some of those swing matches. Hunter May dropped down to 145 but is struggling with Dillon Graham. Down 3-2, May takes a shot at a headlock and almost hits it, but Graham was able to slip the head out and got the takedown. Graham wins 5-2.
  14. Several close matches in 4A so far and some not so close. Evan Seng and Evan Dickey had a tough battle at 113, with Dickey coming out on top 1-0. Seng was in on several shots, but Dickey was able to fend them off. The difference in the match was Seng choosing bottom in the 2nd period and not being able to get out. Look forward to seeing these two wrestle again.
  15. Matches are under way! 4A started at 220, 3A at 182, 2A & 1A at 152. Today should be a great day of wrestling! Watching the 4A stream, but have no sound at all. Is that the case for others? I've tried 3 mats and its the same for all of them.
  16. Got some results from night 1 of the Big Ten conference openers - Friday Jan 7! Penn State smacked around Maryland 46-0. - Drew Hildebrandt made his Nittany Lion debut getting a quick first period fall at 125 over Zach Spence.. He'll be a huge addition to PSU's lineup and quest to overtake Iowa for a NC - Nick Lee was workmanlike with a 19-1 Tech Fall over Danny Bertoni Purdue knocked off Nebraska 18-15 Sadly, all three Hoosiers dropped their matches for Purdue and Chad Red wasn't in the lineup for the Cornhuskers. 157 - Cooper Noehre dropped a 5-3 SV1 dec to Jevon Parrish 165 - Hayden Lohrey fell 3-1 to Clayton Wilson 197 - Thomas Penola lost a 5-2 decision to Eric Schultz Northwestern lost 19-15 to Wisconsin 285- Lucas Davison won a 4-3 decision over Trent Hilger Iowa dominated Minnesota 22-10 157 - Former Brownsburg Bulldog Brayton Lee got a 4-3 win over Kaleb Young. Lee and Young have had tight battles the last 2 years, each winning 2 of the 4. Lee won the last two, at the NCAA Tournament last year and tonight. Close matches, but trending in the right direction. Rutgers handled Indiana 29-7 - lots of IN kids in action 125 Jacob Moran lost a 13-2 Major dec to Dylan Shawver 133 Brock Hudkins won by 6-0 dec to Devon Britton 141 Cayden Rooks fell 19-5 to Sebastian Rivera 149 Graham Rooks lost a 6-2 dec to Mike Van Brille 184 In the match of the night DJ Washington dropped a 4-2 dec against John Poznanski, both top 10 ranked wrestlers. It was DJ's first loss of the year. 197 Nick Willham lost by 9-1 Major to Greg Bulsak
  17. Big Ten action begins tonight with 4 matches, all available on BTN+ and a feature match on the Big Ten Network. BTN+ has a few subscription options, conference or team. The good news is today is Jan 7 and the Big Ten Championships conclude on March 6, so you can catch action for the rest of the season paying only for 2 months. Tonight's matches are: All times Central Friday - BTN+ Penn State @ Maryland - 6pm Indiana @ Rutgers - 6pm Purdue @ Nebraska - 7pm Northwestern @ Wisconsin - 7pm Friday - BTN Minnesota @ Iowa - 8pm Saturday Ohio State @ Michigan State at 4pm Sunday Rutgers @ Wisconsin - Noon Northwestern @ Minnesota - Noon Indiana @ Penn St - 1pm Also on Sunday, Michigan @ Pittsburgh at 1pm is available on ACCN Extra which basically means Watch ESPN. I don't think it requires an ESPN+ subscription, but am not positive on that. Results from former IN HS wrestlers will be posted on the Results thread.
  18. This is a nerd technical question, but how will Track/Flow be able to have live video from all 3 different sites tie into one event? I would have thought it would need to be set up as a different event for each site to tie in the video. I'm not sure how things shook out, but I'm hoping there are still some of the Track guys around. They, while not without issues, seemed to do a better job of setting up events. Just hoping not to click on the live video for a 4A match and get the video for a 2A match, and vice versa!
  19. I'll say this, and I can't believe I am defending Flo, but..... A side note.... If you do the $150 subscription and cancel after the event.... In the past Flo would charge you $29.95 and credit your card the rest. Before you assume they will still do that, call, read the fine print or do whatever you have to be sure. The policy could have changed. I bit the bullet and did the Flo Subscription this year. In past years, I had just done PPV on TW for certain events, including MD Holiday, Team State and the State Series off the top of my head. It never added up to enough to do a TW Gold Membership as long as I was okay with the annoying ads. This year, after subscribing to Flo, I expect (hoping for the State Series) to get all of the above, have been able to look in on some other events, including the IHPO, Super 32, college matches and have access to archived video for all Track Events. Whether I NEEDED access to all of those events or not, it has been a good decision, IMO. That's coming who swore he'd never give Flo another dollar a few years ago.
  20. Must be spectacular. Looking forward to seeing it!
  21. Who wrestled in the 2 extra matches? Any Indiana kids? As a side note, I stumbled into this last night (because I don't keep up with emails).... If you have Hulu Live for TV rather than cable, it now includes Disney+ and ESPN+ in your package. You just have to activate it. So if you are paying for either or both separately and have Hulu Live, check it out and save a few bucks. This went into effect Dec. 21. Last night, the match popped up in my feed and I clicked on it, thinking it was going to ask for an ESPN+ log in and the event came right up. And, like everyone else, I am holding my breath, hoping this season will find a way to completion with most of not all that should be there.
  22. Hasn't been a lot of wrestling recently due to the Holidays and canceled events. There were a small handful of Hoosiers who wrestled at the Southern Scuffle, those mentioned it its own thread. I'm sure i've missed a few events. Michigan did travel to Arizona State on Monday Jan 3. Due to covid issues with ASU, only 4 matches were wrestled. The only one with a former Hoosier was the return of Stevan Micic at 141 for Michigan, his first folkstyle match since 2019. He won an 8-6 decision over Julian Chlebove. Tonight, Jan 4th Indiana traveled to Ohio U. Again, due to covid, there were limited matches with no wrestling at 157, 174, 197 and 285. Due to the shortage of matches, as with the ASU - Michigan matched referenced above, no team score was kept. Relevant results: 125, 141 and 149 all resulted in decision losses by Jacob Moran, Cayden Rooks and Graham Rooks. In an oddity, the Rooks brothers faced off against Kyran and Alec Hagan, also brothers. At 184 DJ Washington gets a 16-6 Major over Zayne Lehman. Lastly, this week came the official news that Drew Hildebrandt has joined the Penn State program and will wrestle 125. They hope to have him ready to wrestle this weekend. Welcome back Drew!
  23. A lot of this happened for two reasons... 1. When Penn St. accepted the invite to the Collegiate Duals, the Southern Scuffle was out, as a team event. Their starters were never on the schedule for the Scuffle this year. It was known well in advance they would send backups. 2. Roughly a week before the event, OK State chose not to send their starters due to Covid. I'm not sure I understand the logic because they sent backups who would then come back and train with the starters. But that decision was made by Coach Smith. Those 2 situations very much weakened this year's event.
  24. I have no problem with you disagreeing. It's acting as if I was living the high life, not entertained, and putting words in my mouth is what's irritating. You said "if that's a bad day".... I never said that. So are degrees of good above your understanding or do you just like to grandstand with your GIFs? Be accurate. Don't put words in my mouth and it's all good. Differing opinions is what makes the world go round. But do whatever makes you happy.
  25. I know all of this. Telll me where I said I wasn't entertained, or that anyone had a bad day? I didn't. I simply said I don't think either looked as explosive as I have seen in the past. Maybe I'm talking degrees of good? Is that above your level of understanding? Because I never said anything you claimed and you didn't provide any new information. I'm not sure why people get so ruffled about an opinion, It's okay to disagree with me. But my comment has nothing to do with how I live.
