I'm sorry, but Schnell will not beat Hoehn at 138 and I'm afraid Allen will see his season end against Oakley from Evansville Central. I haven't seen McDaniels or Frymire wrestle and don't know any of their results against kids I have seen, so that one I have no clue on.

My fault. I did need to look again I guess. I was reading that you have 1 moving on from Evansville at each of those classes. I apologize for my mistake.

I would agree. I don't see 4 there, but less than 3 would be a surprise.

So you have three from Evansville out at 113, 120, 126 and 145? Evansville sectional is clearly dominant at those weight classes. Welch at 120 is the best in that weight class, but I can't see Johns, Goebel or Johnson losing and you're nuts if you think out of Wedding, Vanhook and Pierre only 1 will move on. At 113 and 145 I have all four from Evansville moving forward. No question at 113. You might get one at 145.

With 26 from Castle you are basically thinking two kids per weight class. I can see a couple of weight classes get 4 through from Evansville, which will make it really tough for the Castle sectional to send 26 on. I really don't see that, but you might be right. Can you break it down into numbers per weight class?

Looking through the first round matchups I can see 40-42 from the Evansville Central sectional getting through to semi-state.

Good day overall with some tough weight classes. Has to be one of the best Sectionals in the state. Some deep weight classes and others with high end talent. 113, 120, 126 and 145 were all deep and talented. Some great matches in those. 132, 152, 182 and 195 had the high end and those guys were hard to compete with. Good day of wrestling. Time to take it to Castle.

Anybody have any idea on match score at the time or how the fall occurred? Have these two wrestled before this year and if so what was the outcome?

Legend has it the Bishop of the Evansville Diocese was a huge wrestling fan and bestowed millions of dollars upon the MD wrestling team that he had won in the Powerball Lottery. Those millions are what has enabled MD to recruit at Super32, Fargo, etc. Without the financial backing of the church.... Oh, I just hate to think what would have happened. Mater Dei would have to have had a fantastic coach and staff willing to work their a$$es off, a feeder program that developed great wrestlers and families who were willing to sacrifice and work toward becoming great. Further, they would have to have the continued support of those wrestlers to coach in the feeder program, have kids of their own and develop them into fine wrestlers. Whew, good thing the Bishop played the Powerball.

Fargo, Super32, you know all the really big national tournaments. The recruiting budget runs into the millions.

I've got an idea. MD will worry about class they are going and, ttipton, you can worry about something else. I have no idea what MD will do and frankly, don't care. What they decide will be it and everybody will have to move on. That being said, they are classing this for a reason. As others have argued, a team moving up distorts the picture for other teams. Who really would be the best in Class A if MD moves, would it still be MD or not? What if they only move up to AA? Would that be enough for you, or should they move all the way up to AAA? Or are you just a fan of an Class A team that doesn't want to face MD? All anyone can do is play within the rules and no matter what MD decides they are certainly doing that.

I guess MD should just say "Thank you" for the compliment and move on. For someone to claim they are making the impossible a reality is very nice. Obviously, ttipton has been an admirer for quite sometime.

You sir, are an idiot. MD doesn't bus any wrestlers in from anywhere. Drive into the parking lot before school some day and see how many great MD wrestlers get off of a bus. Maybe you could even name a few for us.

I'm not saying that is what I would do, but according to the guidelines posted earlier that would be the seed as I see it. I would work to get the kid seeded on the other side of the bracket if possible.

Will Pingleton and Batts wrestle before the finals in the sectional? Any shot Pingleton beats him?

He would not be seeded unless there are less than 6 wrestlers who have had at least 10 matches and he has a better record than those with less than 10 matches. If wrestler 6 is 8-1 and your returning 2nd place finisher is 6-2 he would be behind the other wrestler.

I agree 113 is above average and very solid throughout the weight class, but there is no chance all 4 make it to state. The top 113's in the semi-state are not in the Evansville Central sectional and I don't see both of them not making it. There is a good chance we can get 2 through, but no way 4 happens.

Who is he, where is he from, who has he beat? Tell us why you think he can make some noise at state.

Are there any plans to expand the rankings to 20 per weight class prior to sectionals? I know in the past they have been expanded late in the season, but I can't remember when.
