  1. Last Year the Crown Point sectional produced 4 state champs.......Should have a number of contenders again 2012 State Champs from Crown Point Sectional: Micic Petrov Tsirtsis Kral
  2. Dual Result Valparaiso 29 Chesterton 25
  3. I agree Perry is most lightly underestimated and not to Perry's fault. There are always unresolved factors in every ranking, too this reason I don't put much stock into as it doesn't mean much in the big picture. Perry is a great team and with nothing on the line in regards to rankings so I wouldn't overthink it...
  4. Valpo 45 Twin Lakes 17 Valpo 52 West Central 12 Valpo 81 North Judson 0 Valpo 77 Pioneer 3 Valpo 63 Culver 12
  5. You must not have seen much....Valpo / Penn was a very good dual. Valpo won five matches.....FF 138 and was leading halfway through the dual. Valpo only had one kid pinned and several close ones they lost..... Penn is an excellent and very tough team but get your facts right before you trash other teams..... Final score was 36-19 or something close to that.......
  6. Valparaiso Results: Valpo 73 Michigan City 3 Valpo 76 Warsaw 3 Valpo 27 Noblesville 40 Valpo 76 Boone Grove 3 Valpo 44 Kankakee Valley 13
  7. Valparaiso, Noblesville, SB Adams, Warsaw, Kankakee Valley, Michigan City, Boone Grove, Gary Westside
  8. 145 I would throw Neal from Valpo in there as well. Lost to Roadruck in OT at regionals, lost to Macri by a couple at Folkstyle state in the championship match of a loaded weight class that had the likes of Macri, Bova, Moody, Roadruck, Neal to name a few....
  9. Valparaiso About 25% however we have the same big school mentality as McCutcheon..... Our wrestlers who play football have been wrestling well before high school. The majority who have come out in High School quit because of the toughness required to wrestle. We may have one or two that have made it. The football coaches tell them they have to keep gaining weight and hitting the weight room and detour the thoughts of wrestling. We are still trying to educate them on the numerous added benefits wrestling can offer the football team as we all know. Our wrestlers work out three days per week in the weight room as well and many have advanced weight training as a class. The athlete (wrestler) who loses body fat and gains lean muscle is much more valuable as a football player then the kid who works out, eats a dozen donuts for breakfast, four pizza's for lunch, and whatever he can find for dinner just to gain weight...... And last but not least the wrestler who does cut some will gain everthing back and then some within a couple of weeks after the season. They will then gain strength at a much quicker rate compared to the guy who just hit the weight room for the same period due to the cycling of the body. We have tracked this and proved it..... We can really help your football team! Ask the coaches in Texas and many of the Division I Powerhouse coaches who love to recruit wrestler/football players. Former High School Football Player, Wrestler Former Division I Strength Coach
  10. Better question for the multi-sport coaches or athletes. What are the pro's / con's for the athletes? We are trying to educate our football coaches on the benefits wrestling provides to football players. Football coaches are constantly preaching they have to keep gaining weight and wrestling will derail progress.........Opinions? I have mine I want to hear from others.......
