All Chael did was take Anderson down and ground and pound. GSp has probably the best takedowns in the UFC and can ground and pound pretty well. And for the strength portion, GSP is just as strong as an unsterioided Chael. GSP has amazing strength and his gymnastics work outs are getting him even stronger.

He beat Renzo pretty good then he beat Almieda with a good submission, pretty solid wins. He also beat Serra at UFC 98.

I guess he is going to try out for the greco team again. I don't think he is going to do so well since his age is getting up there. He might be able to use his experience though to beat the younger guys.

Matt Hughes is going to take on Diego Sanchez in the Fall this year. It was being rumored and now it is truth. Personally, Matt Hughes is my favorite fighter and I am glad to see him step back in the cage after that quick loss suffered. At the fight for the troops this year, Dana White announced that if GSP wins the fight against Jake Shields he will fight Anderson. Yet, in the post fight interview he was a bit timid and veered off topic when asked about fighting Anderson. I think GSP wants to fight Anderson, but is also a little scared of finally losing. I dont think he will move up.

Has Freestyle and Greco wrestling run its course?

We need more outreach for freestyle and greco. It helps in folkstyle in so many ways. For example, Jared Mckinley, he headlocked his way through state. Freestyle and Greco needs to be more advertised and talked about to the kids. Most kids only know folkstyle, and we dont put in thier head really that freestyle and greco will help them in the long run. If we extend folkstyle and shorten the freestyle and greco season, how can be improve in the olympic aspect? We need to put more emphasis on wrestling in freestyle and greco. Even if those kids get those matches, those matches are making them better still. The kids who put in the time during the summer and do all those tournaments are usually the kids who do well later on. Those matches are benefitial. -
BJ vs Renzo?! Renzo would get killed. He got beat fairly badly by Hughes and look how Hughes did against BJ. It was :23 of a fight. Not a good match up haha. and I am very excited to see who ends up fighting.

Randy has announced his last fight is this saturday. Its going to be sad to see him go. But if they put a young guy agaisnt Royce and then Royce wins, the UFC just lost all stock in the up in comer, because how can a up in comer lose to a 44 year old guy when he is supposed to be beating young guys like him? Matt got pretty embarrased his last fight agaisnt BJ Penn, both Hughes and Gracie are up there in age, they have already proven themselves back in the day, this can just be a fight for the fans, nothing coming from it. They arent making a title run, they just want a fight.

Lol i guess, and I have beem reading around and the rumors are that Royce wants a rematch with Matt Hughes. Being a HUGE Matt Hughes fan, I say bring it on. Both are up there in age, both hall of famers, and I'd love to see Hughes TKO him again.

Very true, Dana could use him for appearances and all that to get people out there, yet every fighter has the dream of fighting in thier hometown. Yes, he has been on a no fighting streak and his last fights were pretty bad. Randy Couture is around his age and he is still fighting, even though his last fight is next saturday. For all that he has done for the UFC, the least Dana can do is give him one last fight. It'll be a Rocky Balboa story, haha.

Dana White announced that UFC 134 will be held in Rio, Brazil. One of the first people to contact him and ask for a fight was UFC legend Royce Gracie. Dana denied him. How can Dana deny a fight to one of the men who got the UFC to where it is today? It is also in his home town. I say give him the fight. What do you all think?

Gotcha, It sucks they wont release the severity of the injury, if its majorly bad they should pick another welterweight to go agaisnt Bj for the contender spot

Well, GSP gets the three months of recovery time and then the six months. Every fighter gets around three months or so before thier next fight is scheduled. So really he has around nine months. There have been some times where fighters get thier next fight in three months, but not for a title fight.

Shamar's wrestling looked great, but he needs some work on his gorund and pound. He didnt do that much damage until the last thirty seconds. And it looks like some good coaches will be coming in. Looking at the top of the thread about how it would be difficult for HWTS to coach WW's, at the end of the TUF episode it showed Matt Hughes coming in and coaching the guys up in practice, which is awesome to see since Hughes is my favorite haha.

Also remember if GSP wins this fight, he wants six months to prepare for 185 and he wants to move up to take on Silva.

Shogun must of really been off his game to get beat that bad by a tired Bones Jones. This just put Jones up many knotches in my book. Some athletes would say oh I cant i have a fight soon, not Jones, he is a true class act citizen. What do you all think about this?
