  1. mcmurrayis dedicated, and from wat ive seen a nice guy, being a 3 time state champ, give him a little bit lol it was disrepectful, but its part of the celebrating for him, it just happened during the match instead of after
  2. i said mcray won... not discreditting him, just standing up for vlahos when people are saying "he lost to mcray and mcmurray beat mcray, so he wasnt good enough to be in the finals" mcray, just like many others, has worked hard to get where he is... and sportsmanship being optional? seems like you are trying to make vlahos sound like hes a bad individual... he lacked sportsmanship... just say that, dont make it sound like when he doesnt get his way then he gets mean and disrespectful
  3. and what are your thoughts about refs in the past letting this move be used? he used it at semi state a week before and it was legal..
  4. hahaha and y2. im not taking anything from anyone.. dont take any of whats said the wrong way the fact is YOU didnt speak with vlahos after his match, and YOU dont know what was going through his mind... yes mcray won.. but vlahos was heartbroken, you would be too... so 3rd is not different than 4th, b/c either way its still losing his goal... it made no difference
  5. its hard to see someone in the finals quit early, whether it be from being ahead by a large margin and celebrating early, or being down and not having the time left to score so they walk away or to the middle...
  6. not every wrestler knows every illegal move, and if theyve been allowed to hit it, even a week before at semi state, then whos fault is it? the refs for not calling it in the past? or the kid for not knowing?
  7. yeah, vlahos took 4th and lost to mcray, but its not b/c mcray is better. i have nothing against mcray, i wish him the best, but vlahos has beaten him a few times before using headlocks In the 1st 30 seconds of the semis vlahos already had willis on his back. ill leave it at that... and him losing for 3rd had nothing to do with skill, vlahos' goal was to win state, ever since he was a kid and 1 bad call ruined his dream. It broke his heart and i feel for him, so when he goes into the match for 3rd, whats the difference between 3rd and 4th after your dreams are already gone and youre already going to purdue next year? Seeing vlahos after the semis was terrible, ive never seen a kid so upset. I feel like he didnt get a fair chance. like Mr. Clark said, he's hit it many times and its never been called for, so this tells vlahos its okay to use it, not everyone knows every single illegal move, he didnt use it in the intent to hurt willis, if u think he did u obviously know nothing about this kid. I blame it all on the refs, if they havent called it in the past and they have let it slide many times, then its their fault for letting him get away with it before. Vlahos hit the keylock a week before in this match with mcmurray and was not called for anything. I know the refs have alot of pressure on them but they need to know what moves are illegal so this doesnt happen. Many coaches and wrestlers were talking about how vlahos got screwed, they cant all be wrong... and i agree he had poor sportsmanship, and theres no excuse for it, but if you were in this position you would know how hard it is and would have been greatly upset and not have known what to do. Hes got his entire college career ahead of him and i cant wait to see him and how he progresses. You did great cameron and im sorry it ended like it did.
  8. All ive heard is how the 160 match between quiroz and vlahos is going to be a good match, but ive seen both wrestle many times and i think the real match at 160 to watch for is between mcmurray and vlahos
