Crazy thing… I spent my childhood in Snider’s district… I actually lived in St. Joe township by the ball diamonds and went to Snider football camps… I could have went to Northrop or Snider… I thought I was going to Snider… then we moved across town close to Parkview Hospital. Lots and lots of friends at Snider. As a HWT wrestler, I looked up to Tony Vaughan. Watched him as a kid at Snider and went to watch him at Purdue… he was a bad, bad, man… unreal the athleticism that dude possessed and the strength. Definitely a once in a generational kind of guy. I almost wrestled at Manchester College because of him but instead wrestled at UIndy… crazy because that was when signing a Letter of Intent was not a big deal… you signed it and just sent it back… no signing day stuff.
