Wauseon has a good program going in the youth & up. They took no prisoners last February in the youth dual at Wayne Trace. They went right through both teams we were supporting. They demolished Crestview (Convoy OH) in the pool and then beat AC handily for the top spot.

They for sure do, they have attended our Elementary Duals for the last three years and have come up with a Top 2 spot each year. The dual we had with them last week was great, fans were in to it like it was a team state title on the line. A couple situations we could have held on to third period leads, could have flipped that match. Good tournament and a great time!

They must have combined the Red & White at Wayne Trace I'm assuming. They had all of the answers the last 2 rounds. Crestview had been rolling and then got thumped pretty hard. AC was hanging tough in what was the unattended championship crossover match. Then Wauseon brought the heat and it was over with. I see on Yappi where they are advertising offseason work all the time. There coaches & fans were really into the matches which is good to see. Hopefully that can translate to Crestview & Parkway's newer teams in the future.

A year or two ago at the Elementary Dual at Jay County, Wauseon and the loaded Rochester squad had a dual to the very last second of the last match.  Wauseon was/is tough.
