KarlHungus Posted December 23, 2013 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Saturday, January 4, 2014 Westfield High School Fieldhouse IHSWCA set to host 2nd annual classed team state duals Westfield High School will again be the site for the 2nd Annual IHSWCA’s Classed Team State Duals wrestling event during the 2013-14 season. Twenty-Four teams will once again converge on central Indiana for top notch competition by schools of all sizes. Last season, those in attendance were treated to the first Team State Duals tournament which was competitive, spirited and an overall success. Due to the shift in this school year’s competition calendar, the event will take place after the holiday break on January 4, 2014. TIMELINE Weigh-Ins: 8 am RD 1: 10:00 am til completion of all matches RD 2: 15 min from last compelted match RD 3: 15 min from last compelted match Awards for Places 3rd-8th: 15 min from last compelted match RD 4: 25 min from last compelted match Championships & Awards 3A (Large Division) Teams Bloomington South Cathedral East Noble *1st Year at Event Evansville Mater Dei Franklin Penn Perry Meridian **Returning Champ Warren Central *1st Year at Event 2A (Middle Division) Teams Danville Lebanon *1st Year at Event North Montgomery *1st Year at Event New Prairie *1st Year at Event Twin Lakes *1st Year at Event Leo *1st Year at Event Western *1st Year at Event Yorktown **Returning Champ 1A (Small Division) Teams Adams Central **Returning Champ Bremen Churubusco Clinton Central *1st Year at Event Fremont *1st Year at Event South Adams South Putnam West Central *1st Year at Event TEAM STATE DUALS COMMITTEE The IHSWCA Team State Duals planning committee met on September 23 at Westfield High School. The committee addressed improvements to the event in the areas of fan seating, admissions, competition schedule, technology and Trackwrestling in addition to several other components of the event.
