More and more Indiana kids getting to the podium at these very challenging Illinois Elite events. A great showing by all competitors. The following were placers. lpd096 Posted January 4, 2010 Share Posted January 4, 2010 Mike: As you know, this event is one of the toughest tournaments in the midwest due to it being an "ELITE" tourney or 14 and under (No divisions). This is one prong in the coveted IL-Wrestling mid-season triple crown: Little Celtic Elite, Midwest Classic, and Kids Open Elite...if a wrestler wins all three, you can rest assured that he has accomplished a tough task!!! The kid at 84lbs, Austin Ryan (Crystal Lake), has won the first two events (defeating CIA's Stevan Micic in the first event and CIA's Jake Tucker in the 2nd event) so I wish Austin luck in his quest to capture all three...the kid is one tough customer but our boys have battled him to the end.
