Huntington Indiana Due to the conflict with several Middle School Wrestling tournaments scheduled to be held the same date as regional weigh-ins (3/12/09) the ISWA will hold additional on site weigh-ins at Huntington North High School at the following times: All Age Divisions: Friday, March 13 ? 7:00 to 7:30 pm Schoolboy Only: Saturday, March 14 ? 7:00 to 7:30 pm Note: All Wrestlers must pre-register at www.trackwrestling.com by Tuesday, March 10th. USA Wrestling Competitor?s Card A 2008-2009 USAW Competitor?s card is required to participate in this event. Cards are $30.00 and are available for purchase on site. You must present your card at registration. If you have purchased a card in Indiana and do not bring it with you, you will have to purchase a temporary card. Records will be checked and if your registration is on file with the ISWA office, you will receive a $25 refund. Wrestlers who purchase a card out-of-state are not on file in Indiana. Folkstyle Wrestling Schedule: Wrestlers are expected to be on site and ready to compete at the times listed below Saturday: 8:00 am?All Cadet & Junior age divisions Sunday: 8:00 am?All Schoolboy/girls and all Cadet and Junior wrestlers, remaining in competition Qualification This event is open to all Indiana Schoolboy/girl, Cadet and Junior Age Division wrestlers. Prior qualification is NOT required to participate in this tournament. ISWA Rule Modifications Note: All wrestlers must weigh-in wearing a competition singlet. Additional rule modifications, for this event, can be found on the Rule Modifications page located elsewhere in this publication. Awards Custom Medals will be presented to the top 8 places in each weight. 1st place finishers will also receive a Championship T-Shirt. Team Competition Team competition is limited to ISWA member clubs only! There are 3 divisions: Small, Large and Academy. Custom Plaques will be presented to the 1st ? 2nd and 3rd place team in each division. Entry Fee is $35.00 per team. (Team Competition information and an entry form are located elsewhere in this publication.) Residency Policy This state competition is for Indiana residents only! Under no circumstances will out of state wrestlers be allowed to participate. In case of a protest, full-time Indiana residency must be verified to the tournament committee. Indiana school enrollment will determine residency if other verification is unavailable or not satisfactory. The wrestler will then have to produce a copy of their report card or school ID to participate. Coaches Pass A Coaches Pass is required to be at matside to coach your wrestler. Coaches floor passes will only be issued to those individuals who are a minimum USAW/NCEP Copper Certified coach. All coaches must report to a designated site and produce their Copper/Bronze card and a picture ID. You will be fitted with a wrist band at that time. Do not take it off. You will only be issued one wrist band. Coaches must be prepared to pick-up their pass at the following times: Friday: to clinic attendees Saturday: 7:00 - 9:00 am & 1:00 - 3:00 pm and Sunday: 7:00 - 9:00 am The ISWA Folkstyle State Finals serves as a qualifier for the following event: The 2009 USA Wrestling Folkstyle National Championships - You must wrestle in the ISWA Folkstyle State Finals in order to qualify for this event. Qualification is by participation only. All Schoolboy/girl, Cadet and Junior wrestlers participating in this event will qualify. The ISWA will provide USA Wrestling with a list of all wrestlers qualified to participate at nationals. Folkstyle Nationals Registration Deadline The 2009 USA Wrestling Folkstyle National Championships will be held April 3-5, 2009 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. You must pre-register for the Folkstyle National Championships. Information and specific instructions about when and how to register will be posted on the USA Wrestling web site: www.themat.com as soon as it becomes available. All Indiana wrestlers participating in this event will receive a free ?Team Indiana? T-shirt upon their arrival to weigh in at nationals. Worship Service A non-denominational worship service will be conducted on the mat from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. All wrestlers, parents and coaches are welcome to attend. This service is available for those who choose to participate. Referee?s Clinic A Referee?s Clinic will be held at 7:30 am on both Saturday and Sunday morning.
