  1. Ulrey beat Mogollon but got beat by Rushville kid. Rushville got reversal in the last 20 seconds to win 4-2. Rushville 189 lb got beat and first round by MV kid with losing record.
  2. Poynter got beat by Yorktown kid. Yorktown looks awesome advancing all but 160lb into the final round. New Pal has 4 (140) Corman, 145 Reidling, 160 Jennings, and 171 Phelps.
  3. Sorry, I was told by a Rushville parent that he beat Early. After watching the way Poynter handled their kid, I found that hard to believe. I saw Early at New Pal earlier this year and he looked real strong, other than the match against Duck. Good luck Saturday!!!
  4. hope 103 and 112 championships are as good to watch as they are on paper!!! 119 - I think Tran will be a handful, he has been bouncing between 119 and 125, 22-5 with with all losses coming vs top 16 wrestlers Horan over Smith at 152. 189 is up for grabs Poynter majored McClurg, Early beat Poynter and McClurg beat Early. Have never seen Brown wrestle. Look forward to a good tourney. I'll try to keep you posted Navy
  5. He had some losses early in the season, not sure who they were to, but I remember New Castle and Perry. Not sure if he wrestled when NP faced GC, maybe that is why he was seeded lower. Lately he has had some big wins vs Portage and won by fall vs Warren.

  7. Has to be oversight, he should be one of the favorites to win at 215
  8. Saw both Browns this weekend, they are decent wrestlers and may get to semi-state, but state will be a reach. East Centrals 103 pounder looked good too. 160 is stacked with Jennings, Willis, Brooks, and Hankerson. at 215 Richard has a shot, but would have to have a great day and beat Buchanon, Smitherman, Bultmeier, Cooper, or Arthur Wright from Arsenal Tech in the ticket round, all tough match ups.
  9. You are correct 12oz curls, not sure what I was thinking. NP has only beat Roncalli once. They are very close, but head to head I would half to give the edge to NP. The meet where Roncalli had three people missing, I believe you still won the 103 and 112 matches and the final was 40-23. Davis would definately mean extra points at 112 and I believe that your 103 majored the NPs 103 last weekend, but I am not sure where Roncalli could make up the difference. Like watching the Rebels wrestle, they always show great sportsmanship and all wrestle hard.
  10. New Palestine has topped Roncalli twice and last weekend tied them at the New Pal Invitational minus three varsity wrestlers that are recovering from nagging injuries.
  11. New Palestine beats Portage 29-28. 145 Reidling wins final match on reversal at end of third period 4-3
  12. Not sure what Corman or Phelps did, I watched every match and never saw a lack of sportsmanship from either wrestler. These two kids are probably two of the nicest kids you would ever meet off the matt. Phelps wasn't on the matt long enough to show bad sportsmanship, he went 5-0 with four pins in the first period. The only match that wasn't a pin was against the Noblesville kid who just bellied up the entire match.
  13. Mike Phelps of New Palestine defeated Howenstein of Zionsville 6-4 Saturday at New Castle.
