  1. I know it's a bit early, but anyone want to throw out some predictions for Middle school State and Folkstyle state? Boards are getting kinda stale just thought this might give some of us non-high school wrestler dad's something to follow!
  2. He's registered in the IndianaMat Pre-season open as Woodford. From what I've seen on Kentuckywrestling.com he is now a Kentucky Wrestler. I think they said that is where his family is originally from. Good luck to the Boston family and congratulations Woodford on picking up a great wrestler.
  3. Here in Southern Indiana were I'm from, the middle school is now 5-8 grade and there are no elementary sports. Which means kids don't get an opportunity to wrestle until 5th grade, with the exception of those who send the younger kids to camps and clubs. ISWA events really help but the region we're in is a Basketball area and the school systems make sure we know that. Wrestling is treated like the red-headed step child and to see us as ever being a wrestling powerhouse again is unlikely at best.
  4. Our middle school team is missing a 145. Our youth team 12u is missing the following weights 91,97,108,120.135. Come on guys. All teams and states are welcome. http://www.kentuckywrestling.com/forums/index.php?/topic/9776-wrestlers-needed/page__pid__88885#entry88885
  5. We have put together a team for the summer mayhem duals. We have a few holes we are looking to fill. We will receive a 1 lb allowance the day of the tournament. This is for middle school wrestlers. The cost will be $20 per wrestler Summer Mayhem Duals Saturday July 14th, 2012 Mason Middle School Arena 6370 Mason Montgomery rd Mason, OH 45040 Weigh ins 730 - 930am Wrestling begins 10am Here is the current line up 80 Tanner yenter 85 Spencer Carpenter 90 Ryan Moore 95 Mason Smith 100 Jordan Hodge 105 Noah Hammond 112 Dallas Miles 119 Ryan Woodward 126 tristin dowell 132 Colton Cooper 138 Jared Branch 145 160 Hunter Gill 180 trey Dowton Hwt Brett Graziani We need a 145. 6. With the exception of a great middle school coach that has worked with my son! ;D We are in a similar situation. I know the high school is starting to see the difference in competition when we wrestle the Yorktowns and Mater Dei's, what do we need to do to compete with these schools and what can I do to get my son on the top of the podium?
  7. Ohhh... I know that ref, he cost us a match! Horrible!
  8. It is a shame though that we had to spend so much money and the kids had to get such high hopes only to have such a huge disappointment! Not cool, not cool at all.
  9. Agree! No need to trash, everyone there knows how horrible it was, just don't go back and no need to ever worry about it again!
  10. Have to agree 100% we had a very similar experience. Won't be going back in the future here either.
  11. I completely agree with honoring the kids. They join a youth Basketball league and the first and second place teams all get trophies, they work their buts off, pay 35.00 entry fee and get a ribbon? Come on, talk about cheap! Why would we not demand at least the cheap cheesy medals? I'd prefer a trophy for 1st and 2nd at least for the state events. I can see the smaller events not wanting to do this, but come on, biggest middle school event in the state and they get ribbons, that's just sad!
  12. Anyone have any idea when or if they will post the Middle School state brackets?
  13. I believe this is what he was referring to maybe you're on the wrong topic!
  14. Tre Lynch 106 New Albany Freshman! Bailey LaHue Corydon 113 Freshman! Congrats guys and Good Luck at Semi-State!
  15. Probably not any more than Austin Jamison not being listed after "Winning" the Jeffersonville Regional!
  16. I don't give a ***potty mouth*** if their inbred! All I want at this point is to know, who won in the Evansville Reitz panther hill classic? If I would have said " I love Mater Dei, How did our boys do in the tourney? I would have had an answer yesterday! Anyone disagree? Guess Mater Dei didn't do so well, watch, see if I'm wrong!
  17. Would be nice if the champion got a trophy! Any other sport they would, why not wrestling? Cheap medals seems kinda lame huh?
  18. Is anyone ever going to post the results on this or update trackwrestling? It's bee awhile, still watching, still waiting!
  19. Would be nice if the results were posted or Trackwrestling would have been updated so we could see who did what!
  20. I just wanted to get everyone's opinion of the weight honor system in ISWA tournaments. Anyone have any bad experiences anything you'd like to share?
  21. You know, it's such a shame, being a Christian School and all you would think the administration would be very down to earth, compassionate, easy going people. Trust me when I say, that is generally not the case in most schools like this. You will be a member of their church, you will tithe to them, and they will dictate how you coach and run your program even though I'm quite sure none of them know the first thing about wrestling. They had put together a great program and it's the kids that ultimately lose, so sorry to hear this.
