    55 is now 57 kg, 84 is now 86 kg, Added some weights in non olympic years, & they are going to add more wrestle backs, A thro is worth 4 points, a TF is now 10 points in freestyle & 8 in Greco. just a few of the changes I noted, overall I like these rule changes not bad FILA! http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Wrestling/Features/2013/December/17/FILA-announces-new-weight-classes Great Interview with TEAM USA Freestyle coach Zeke Jones discussing these changes:

    This is a nice feature, I had not tried to view results this way until now, nice to organize the teams from top to bottom by wins and losses & by class, quick & easy to see the top teams in each class based on W-L http://www.indianamat.com/20132014-team-standings-standard/2013/12/ I think it would still be nice to take the top 10 ranked teams and next to each team have a coulumn for notable wins and losses, IDK how much work this would take though ??? The rankings are only as good as the results, looks like the majority of teams are entering their results so we could do something like this, I could try and compile this in a simple excell spreadhseet and email to you, IDK if you can import that into the site or not but I def feel that if we had 1 rankings page for teams in each class, the coaches voting would evaluate better and the rankings would be more valid then they are currently

    I cant say I disagree with this statement, I know its a lot of work to scroll through the results and keep track of every team's wins and losses. However I think it would be awesome if at some point we could have a rankings page for the Top 10 TEAM's in each class just like the Indivudual rankings, have a column for notable wins & losses for the top 10 teams in each class, I feel if we had that information in 1 location the coaches could do a better job of ranking teams I am surprised to see Hanover not ranked in AA, IDK their overall record but I know they beat #4 TL like 49-24 a few weeks ago, I am not just calling out TL either, I just remember posting this result in the previous rankings thread, HC should be a top 10 team IMO ( http://indianamat.com/messageboard/index.php/topic,27830.0.html ) I am sure that some of these top 10 teams have faced off already this season, it would be nice to see who has won/ loss against other ranked teams

    For the record, everything I have posted is MY personal opinion and beliefs. not that of NW head coach Jerry Holeman or the wrestling program if anyone has anything negative to say please address ME not Coach Holeman. PM me or email me (It is listed on my profile) if you have something you don't agree with Some people feel that what I have said is a "black eye" to NW, these same people feel it is 100% ok that the TL head coach pretty much called me out on here lol some people amaze me... I love NW, I bleed blue & I always will. I am a very intense person, passionate, loud, vocal, & outspoken. Its the Marine in me, its how I will always be! Some people don't understand that & that's ok. I won't be commenting on anything else regarding these posts from this point on, I have stated my opinions and clearly made my feelings known.     This is not what im saying, after the dual the 2 teams lined up, wrestlers then coaches to shake hands, chris went through shook hands with every wrestler & 2 paid coaches but once he reached me & another volunteer he walked away, purposly not shaking our hands like "volunteer coaches " dont rate.

Only 3A school in county with 3 other 1A schools, NW, Frontier, Tri county, rivalries in every sport but wrestling is very intense TL beat us 38-33 this saturday good dual, good win for them We hope to wrestle them again at their holiday invite later this month, 10 teams, 2 brackets we are opposite brackets hoping to win ours & see them in finals. They are a good team but so are we

    We can chat anytime youd like.this marine speaks the truth, even if it may be un popular. Actions speak louder than words my friend. I have never spoke with you 1 on 1, no need too. Your actions around the mat speak for themselves. Do you know the sport yes, good coach yes. But your attitude clearly rubs off on your wrestlers, coaches, dads, fans. Many people see this, it is discussed often by many schools in the area Your team, run it how youd like.

    No respect is right. For those not around the TL program, their coaches, parents, fans walk around white county like their program is a perry, crown point, MD ... Starts with chris & gos down to the wrestlers. Chris wouldnt even shake my hand or any of the other volunteer assistant hands on saturday, very disrespectful. TL does not knpw the meaning of the word humble. Its why their program gets a lot of hate from not only me, nw fans, but most other programs they face regularly

    Really? Like anything i said about hileman was false? He went 39-2 or 40-2 all season, he also beat athe logan regional champ madrano earlier in season & was the best wrestler in that weight class Hileman was 10% of himself that day, his conditioning is what made him so good he could go 100% for 6+ minutes, he wore kids down. Colin had a serious cold, i think dr said broncitu if i remember, horrible timing for any wrestler Colin didnt "choke" he was sick, any wrestler knows without lungs, you have no gas, conditioning is huge I have 0 doubt a healthy hileman wins that weight class So, dont come at me like i dont know wrestling, yes im loyal to my vikings but im not stupid in picking out good/ greatwwrestlers I think i finished 3 or 4 overall last yr in the state pick ems.... Lost some respect for you brian, 3 yrs ago we chatted regularly when i was in usmc traveling the US & your son a freshman, had good conversations, you were humble & nice, i supported your son, TL, county wrestler.. 3 yrs later, your not the same guy. Your sons success has changed you & im not the only one who has noticed. You act like your better then most parents/dads... Look down on NW & our fans, the attitude of chris has definitely rubbed off on you. Sad but true... No need to PM either, we can chat in person like men if want to discuss this, im sure ill see you around

    #8 thomas at 160 from TL got pinned at 170 by Garpow from winamac, Garpow is the winamac stud i mentioned earlier My guess is he will cut to 60 but even at 70 hes gnna be tough to beat, last yr he was upset twice at sectional at 145, he then had the logan regional champ on his back almost stuck first round but lost by 1 maybe 2 Garpow is a junior i believe, hes got some awesome pinning combinations, he has an outside shot of placing top 4 in Mville

    In AA i seen hanover beat #4 twin lakes yesterday 49-24 i believe, i expect to see HC crack the top 10 in the next polls *i heard TL was missing a few starters as well, could have been closer with them in Any other ranked teams face off yesterday? Any upsets?

    Team rankings first month will fluxuate im sure, not enough data to really make a solid rankings but its a good start 1A ill say NW will compete will all those teams, we get to wrestle WC, lewis cass, fountain central, & twin lakes in the next month so it will be good to see how we matrch up. Out of those 4 teams TL is prolly the best on paper, anything can happen on the mat Really wish team state was towards end of the season instead of middle but I understand the scheduling conflicts, hoping to see the Vikings earn an invite in the coming years! Only time will tell, but glad we have a team state duals in a classed system, giving all teams an opportunity

    What was the score of the dual? Close? Season still early some guys out, some guys at different weights, come regional time it should be best vs best. A lot more competitive overall

    Pretty solid OTR, thanks for all the hard work From the MWC id say look out for Pruitt Frontier to surprise some people this year at 182, i can see him possibly winning logan regional, he is a bruce but only wrestled a few yrs as frontier program is fairly new, but i know he went to the 28 day Jrob camp this summer & been working technique all off season this kid has the natural ability to be very very good Winamac had a stud or 2 as well, hoping for a few MWC guys to make a push this yr I also hope to see a few Vikings at Merrilville with a shot at punching their ticket, long season ahead excited for some of these matches

    I have a few questions regarding the Wabash College wrestling camp this weekend We have 2 wrestlers who have paid deposits for the camp but have not yet received any correspondence regarding the camp. No times to meet or drop off Times & locations or anything Has anybody else received any follow up information on this camp? These 2 wrestlers also play baseball & our baseball team is playing in the semi state tomorrow so they can't attend Saturdays camp but could do Sunday. We are just trying to get in touch with someone from Wabash wrestling, we have sent numerous emails & calls & haven't received anything back Any help is greatly appreciated

    2,very impressive wins for Reece!, glad to see him avenge his OTT loss to Scott! Got to sting a little for Reece knowing he was very capable of being on that Olympic podium!!! Hopefully he stays healthy & can peek at the right time in 2016!

    Good to see former Hoosier in the finals. Wheres MICIC?? Will he wrestle Fargo? Hopefully these 2 meet up sometime this off season
