    Are you talking about the FW Semi-state hospitality room that ran out of food last year and closed before heavy weight was over?

    I don't think it is a lack of vision. This is a total lack of understanding for wrestle backs. IMO it is a step back. You either do it all the way or don't do it all. This is setup in a way that is more likely to fail which will hurt us for full wrestle backs. Kindly say thanks but no thanks.

    IMO one of the greatest things about wrestling is also playing against us in this situation. The bottom line is you will never truly understand wrestling unless you are a wrestler. We don't have any wrestlers on the IHSAA. Until that changes we are stuck with what we have.

    I guess I am not understanding. Did they change their mind or did they feed us enough info to get us excited, and then release the rest to laugh?

    Shame on us for wanting to make things better for the kids. This stuff isn't rocket science.

    Agreed. They have to know this will make us upset. Seriously they would rather stick it to us than do what is best for the kids. What a joke.

    Seriously. This pisses me off more than not doing wrestling backs at all. Basically they just said we will do this for true alternate but they still don't have a clue that they should have full wrestle backs so that the best wrestler make it to semi-state and state. Just another way of showing that they don't get our sport or really care about individual athletes.

    So have you watched the New Castle wrestlers? Have you done an honest comparison? Or are you just throwing that out there for fun. The East Noble predictions look pretty good to me except for maybe 220.

    I feel strongly about a kid that I have watched wrestle since he was 6 and have had the privilege of helping coach.

    Are you basing this off of the fact that he is a 2 X State Qualifier, 1 X placer, and a returning Connersville Champ. Or is the fact that the only kid he hasn't pinned or tech ed was ranked 6th at the time and he beat him 7 - 1. I usually don't chime in on these things but Zach is always getting under rated. Hopefully if he wins this again that will prove something once and for all.

    It sounds good in thought. But if the better wrestlers earned the spot then they will want that win to go on their record. Forfeit or not. And I would want them to have that win. All teams keep a history of the amount of wins wrestlers have and most good wrestlers are striving to be on top of the board for most wins. But I do see where you were going with this.

    I deleted it. I don't do personal attacks on message boards and I felt that was getting close. But the more I think about your comment it does get to the fundamental question at hand. And in that state circumstance I would absolutely want to wrestle the kid on the mat and not win by a rules violation. So you are correct that this is where we differ. As a matter of fact I would probably ask for the refs to overturn it. But that is just me.

    Don't get me wrong I think there are plenty of coaches out there that I would not want my kids around. I also see a ton of verbally abusive coaches (which everyone can see this) and they still have a job. I would rip my kid out of a program like that real quick. Also I do think rules are there to be followed. But I also think that a reminder of what the rules are in some cases will work. If the kid was doing it to gain weight or was breaking the rule on purpose. Toss em.
