Congrats to Chad Miller of Valpo for picking off two very tough state ranked wrestlers today at the DAC. This is really gonna throw a screwball into the rankings.

Well there is always the option of doing it like Illinois does, they have wrestle backs but start on Friday night w/ round 1 just like state.

I Left Merrillville at 8:30 then drove home for almost an hour lol, 4 was fun but it did make for a long day. It was awesome though to see 2 - # 4 seeds make it down to conseco congrats to Medina and Bakalik.

I agree there are alot of venues and gyms in NW Indiana that could accommodate this semi state better than Merrillville. Along w/ EC Central we have the Hammond Civic center, which is huge, also we have the Genesis center In Gary ample parking and easy access. Its time for the IHSAA to make a choice for us the fans.

Myers was clearly cut, Monix was awarded the point and Myers was still laying on the mat when Monix covered for an easy takedown to make it 7-5. -

As far as Myers and Monix goes it was AWESOME myers was in total control until about 5:00 or so and he gased Monix came back w/ a takedown to make it close. I have to give props to Paul Maldonado the official for calling the match. It was a tough situation and he made all the right calls. there was actually a point where Monix took Myers down, cut him and got another takedown before Myers even got to his feet. Monix and Myers wrestle so similar, it was a great match cant wait for Regionals.
