If fishhooks were illegal I would have the Wood Living Room Turkey Day title to this day! Believe it or not, I have not been accepted into the HOF due to a human canon ball trick that went wrong. I got dibs on the first week in April. There will still be snow here and the awood1's may be at a new high school! I am downloading the youtube match right now. So far I see that he knows how to use an underhook, hit a blast double, and a bar arm cheap tilt.

Well, the cold has given the all knowing powers that be in Elkhart cause to cancel school again. A five day weekend and I will officiall only work 7 days in two weeks To top it off I have not lost a single match that had to be rescheduled. You keep the warm weather and your snowless southern IN. I'll keep my wrestling schedule and my sweats on while I'm watching The Price is Right and posting all day...

May we add a clause that it has to coordinate with all rainy days?! That is the boat season! What about rolling out a mat on the sandbar? We've got plenty of room for a mat and the grills.

Concord vs. Plymouth moved to next Thursday, 6:15 start, varsity only

Concord vs. Plymouth cancelled. Plymouth had cancelled school. Concord, an hour north of Plymouth, had a two hour delay > Rescheduled for next Thursday at 6:15 w/ no JV. I guess I get to watch The Office for the first time :-\

Many around my area were not happy to see Memorial have to meet Mishawaka to earn the trip. On the other hand, there are some of us that have been waiting for these two teams to wrestle a dual for quite some time. There was a storied rivalry back in the '80's & 90's between these two. Maybe the proximity of the two will create a little more interest than wrestling a team on the edge of the state in the go round?!

Plymouth vs. Concord cancelled tonight b/c Plymouth did not have school. Concord only had a 2 hour delay and is an hour north of Plymouth. The meet has been rescheduled for next Thursday. The meet will start at 6:15 with no JV. Pretty sweet deal for the ref

SNOW DAY SUCKA'S! Ahhh, just when I was getting bumbed about the forecast in Cali, I get the day OFF ;D Perfect timing too, I just got the new 8.5 horse snow thrower!#@% The other day I threw the Christmas tree in the drive, so I hit it with the new snow eatin' machine and I mulched the neighbors yard! If by some magical stroke of nature we get Friday off too I will have as many days off as I have worked in these two weeks! It's like Christmas vacation in January

Y2CJ41, read between the ( )'s man. Anson is not even on here. He would be AWood3 if he were. Instead he choses to make a living by staying on his computer at home in the winter. When the weather is nice he is on the golf course haucking his goods to unsuspecting purchase agents who answer the door! Anson is the youngest of the 3 Woods and the biggest. He popped out of at a whoppin' 10 lbs and hasn't slowed down. He is 6'5'' and about 290 lbs. He wrestled in college and high school, but his passion is power lifting. He even had an internet equipment business for several years, e-nourmous.biz. AWood1 was actually a boxer! Me, AWood2, I have been a ref my entire life (until the end of this season at least).

I feel your pain theMachine. I suffer all day at work, come home and try to connect to my wrestling community with my puter. All I see is cancelled matches for snow, more boo pts., and the forecast for the west coast. To top it all off AWood1 can post about .5 pts and it stays on the board. It is just another case of the web-man tryin' to keep us down... I'm goin' back to craigslist 8)

I must really be suffering the winter blues b/c I am going to 'boo' my own brother for the Cali forecast! I will give you a 'wahoo' for high school Spring Break pic on the beach though! High heals in sand, now that's my kind of woman ;D Do me a favor and look up a couple of those beauties on Facebook before I come out there in April! Do they have soccer moms in Cali?

Most interesting part for me was that Mir won on his feet. What was billed as two JJ fighters going for technical superiority ended with a crushing punch w/o a lot of time on the ground. What if Mir brought this game plan against Lesner? I can't see Lesner getting submitted so easily a second time. It would be worth the price to see how these two problem solve the other's strengths.

The whole Wood fam was pleased. I was a little surprised that there was very little action on the mat though. The knockouts were impressive and they didn't occur in the first 30 seconds of each bout. The wins were decisive. No questionable stoppages, just lights out finishes. Most impressive, had to be the ro-sham-bo contest! I would have been TKO'd myself. It got our party fired up and set the tone for the rest of the night. As far as I can tell that may be the only good PPV for a while.

My personal favorite was 1994, quarter final on mat 4, 189 lbs in overtime the official tried to catch the wrestlers going out of bounds and got knocked out cold. This was in Market Square Arena and the official fell off the mat, basketball floor, and finally came to rest on his back on the subfloor over the ice rink! The official was still being attended to when the match finished with a substitute official from another mat.
