CP has a hell of a team no doubt, the MD teams were great teams as well. My only argument is someone thinking those MD teams were recruited. When we get old and die we will be able to watch the greatest wrestling meet in Indiana history. Mater Dei team of your choice vs CP team of your choice until then all we are doing is arguing over something we'll never REALLY know until God puts those two teams on a mat in front of us.

I never liked Seymour, all bleachers no chair backs I don't remember a whole lot if good restaurants there either. Hell of a place to fly paper airplanes though. Those were the good ol' days!

Tuition assistance is now offer through the state. Back then there was no tuition assistance except for extreme situations. Almost anyone can recieve state provided tuition assistance today unless you make a boatload of money.

The MD teams from the 2000's were pretty well home raised, you could connect the dots to see the grade school and Parish these guys went to. If MD was handing out "scholarships" I must have missed that line because we paid full price to go. I had a buddy who had to work all summer (not just a month or so, ALLL SUMMER) to help his parents pay for tuition, to go to MD. That same buddy placed 2nd his senior year, I'd venture to say he'd be a prime candidate to recieve "scholarship money" but never got a dime. You can take that horse poo somewhere else.

Probably because The Ford Center knows wrestling state would pull in more people than GLVC or whatever University of Evansville or University of Southern Indiana would ever pull in for 2 days. Just my thoughts.

Y'all come on down and we'll show you a real fine time! Don't forget to try the brain sandwich, possum pie, and deer salami! After the finals we'l take you cow tippin', snipe huntin' and pig rasslin! It'll be a hoot!

Bad call I agree but again I say throw a zebra shirt on and show you can do better. It isn't easy, I was pulling for Farmer even though it was a long shot. I think the ref was out of position on that call unfortunately.

Guys, I'm not an official, but try to imagine reffing that many matches a day. You will miss calls you will get calls wrong. Last week we had wrestle offs for my grade school team. We had 9 matches and I reffed every one of them. I made mistakes, I'm telling you that job is a whole lot harder than it looks. Those guys out there make it look EASY until they mis a call or make a call you disagree with. I understand the frustration but try it for yourself and see how you do. Go ask to ref a Folkstyle tournament, you will see that reffing from your butt with popcorn and soda is a whole lot different than being down there and trying to get in good positions to see AND know all the rules AND get it all right.

If this is an argument for classed wrestling it's pretty weak, there are plenty of schools bigger than these guys that can't hold a candle to them.
