  1. Still missing two guys(Grider at 189 and Chase Farrell at 112) and I can't wait to see Baker v. Allen at 215. Do you take into account how these guys will do at sectionals and regionals? Isn't the semistate bracket based off of that? If that is the case both Grider should have an easier bracket as he will more than likely take the Carroll Regional.
  2. You will have a tough time getting a hold of Coach Adsit from South Side and he probably won't want to talk as I have learned through experience. If you want I would advise you calling South Side's athletic office. The AD will be able to lead you in the right direction.
  3. Does this take into consideration the matchups they will have? I know Grider from SS at 189 will probably win the easy Carroll regional at 189 or take 2nd which should help him out come SemiState.
  4. The date you have to make the weight by is listed in the post by littlevito. He copied and pasted the rule in his post for everyone to see. That is not what he thinks or heard the rule says, it is the rule word for word. Thanks, my friend just told me it was a kids last chance to make weight at the SACs the other day and he didn't. I think he said he needed it by January 2nd but maybe that was because he only had 5 chances after that. Again, thanks for the help.
  5. I heard you needed to make it by a certain date? I only remember this in one specific case but maybe it was something like the guy couldn't make enough weighins after the certain date.
  6. Alright, that is what I figured. I emailed the rankings guy with my stuff. Aris is a man among boys right now at 215 from what I have seen. I know he mainly wrestles city boys but he displayed some nice stuff last year at regional.
  7. Perhaps you should make a list of these kids along with quality wins and losses and send them to the RankingsGuy. I think that is how he goes about putting the rankings together. SAC doesn't wrestle outside the FW area as much as they used too. Also the FW Semi-state has performed poorly at the state finals the past few years. I don't know names, just schools. Well I know the top guys name, but not the opponent. I see Aris Allen at #2 for the FW SS and yet I don't see him on the top 16. Just stuff like that. I may get around to it, but like I said I don't know much about the opponents. I really only follow one school but I know of like 2 guys outside that school that are really good.
  8. I don't understand the lack of Fort Wayne SAC kids in the rankings. There are quite a few returning SS qualifiers from last year that aren't in the rankings.
  9. I only saw the aftermath(Dinnius lying on the ground moaning and groaning in pain) but from my understanding Dinnius was messing with the 135 from Snider and the Snider coach came over and was messing around and hurt what seemed to be Dinnius's neck. This was between the tournament and round-robin portion of the tournament and Dinnius didn't wrestle in his team's last three matches of the day. In fact I think he may have been taken to get it checked out.
  10. Give Elmhurst props, though. They beat SS twice this year and are coming together under new coach Jonathan Brownlee. Yeah, but again like I said South may have come out on top both times if it weren't for the weight class stuff. Three kids were absent, another was injured and for some reason another wrestler wasn't wrestling on Tuesday and the first time they met 2 or 3 people were a no show.
  11. I attended the team SAC tournament yesterday at Bishop Dwenger in Fort Wayne. It would have been nicer if it were held at Snider like individual SAC but overall it was okay. There are like 4 schools that could host this event and it be fine. The bracket was fine although my friends and I had a problem reading one part of it. It was redundant but maybe we overthought it. A few downsides for some of the teams. South Side did a poor job of fielding a team. They had to forfeit 5 or 6 weight classes and still managed to take 4th place. Snider isn't one it used to be as they left before the round-robin portion ended but not before there coach hurt Dinnius(sp?) from Concordia(FW SS qualifier last year at 215). As good as some of the wrestlers are in this conference, the teams look to be fairly weak.
  12. A few missing from the Fort Wayne area that should at least be considered top 20. I see you only do 16 but at least one of these three ought to be up there. Aris Allen at 215 for Fort Wayne North Side Chase Farrell at 112 and Josh Grider at 189 for Fort Wayne South Side
  13. Grider can do it. He will make Semistate but after that I don't know how far he will go. Suel moved up to wrestle Grider.
  14. Chase Farrell from Fort Wayne South is 9-0, and I am pretty sure he has pinned everybody. If not he has pinned all but 2.
  15. Marqueen Suel will be at 171 by the time Semi-State comes around, in fact I am pretty sure he is at 171 right now.
  16. Josh Grider and Chase Farrell from Ft. Wayne South both deserve a look in the rankings. Grider wrestles 189, and I think is 7-3 with losses to three ranked opponents(1 in OT, one by pin). Farrell is 10-0.
