Making the Senior Academic All-State squad are Jeffersonville?s Elijah Curtley and Alonzo Shepherd and Providence?s Brennan Gregory. Curtley and Shepherd will both be wrestling in the IHSAA State Finals on Friday and Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Four area grapplers earned spots on the Junior Academic All-State team. They were Floyd Central?s Nick Ottersbach, Providence?s Daniel Fernandez and Jeff?s David Fridley and Daniel Thompson. ? The first annual three-class IHSWCA Duals State Championship will be held next December. In using a scoring system to decide who is invited, we will adjust scores for teams who have an injured high-quality wrestler that could not wrestle any matches at sectional. If you have a sophomore or junior wrestler on your team who qualified for semi-state or higher in the 2010-11 season but could not wrestle any matches at sectional this year due to injury, please email the following information to IHSWCA Vice President Danny Struck (dstruck@gcs.k12.in.us).
