    My son told me that the coach told him that Portage wrestles New Pal, North Mont, Perry & Warren Central (in that order) the first day (tomorrow).

    It is a team dual. No individual brackets, however they do award weight class champions. I would like to see the draws to see the team that wrestles first!

    There are larger gyms in the "Region" than Merrillvile. There is also the ARC in Valparaiso. Or maybe even something in South Bend or Lafayette. Since those schools all come to the same semi-state!

    It is December 30th & 31st! It is a Team Dual tournament, but they do have individual weight class champions.

    Unless Coach Wadkins has changed the format; I believe that if you win your 1st 2 duals. Your team will then be in a round robin with the other undefeated teams. I other words; if Mish, Cath & CP all win the 1st 2 rounds. They will all wrestle each other.

    It is long hard road back to the top. The coaching staff are doing a great job. Coach Wright is a great clinician. There are alot of young, inexperienced wrestlers on the team, but they have big upside. It is to bad injuries have already taken a toll on the team. I think the team has taken great strides, they just have to work hard and keep fighting! INDIAN TOUGH!!!!!

    I personally wouldn't mind seeing this happen. Maybe change 103 to 107 or something. But I would also like to see a weight class added in the upper weights. There are big gaps in the upper weights. Maybe split the difference on one the gaps or just re-arrange them and add 1 one to the mix. This will accomplish 2 things: 1) More kids wrestling can't be a bad thing and 2) It will be a clear cut winner in case of a tie. 15 matches, someone has to win 8.
