  1. Here is the Big Ten Network television schedule for wrestling: http://www.bigtennetwork.com/generic/sports/wrestling/Schedule I figured some of you would like to see it. I'm really hoping to see Mcdonough vs Stieber in the Ohio State vs Iowa dual.

  7. In the overall Top 20 3A: 17 2A: 3 1A: 0 If I'm not mistaken.
  8. I was also rating them on dual meet strength. They would be very tough in a tournament scored setting.
  9. I know it's misleading because they have 3-4 really tough guys, but Indian Creek would not be in the 2A top ten. They have some great individuals, and great coaches, but they wouldn't be there.
  10. How could they be at a school for only 1 semester, but wrestle for that school for an entire season?
  11. Considering that there have only been 3 appearances from the class A teams in 14 years of Team State, I would venture to say, there may be a few new teams at state.
  12. That is amazing considering that the top 2 teams in number of appearances are 2A. (Bellmont and Mater Dei)
  13. Ok, here are some percentages for the team state series. I could figure up the coach's trophy information if there was a list of the winners since we went to the Team State format. Class 3A: 23 Schools have made an appearance at Team State. That is roughly 23 % of that class and 8% of schools that have wrestling. Class 2A: 9 of these schools have made an appearance at Team State. That is roughly 9% of that class and 3% of schools that have wrestling. Class 1A: 3 of these schools have made an appearance at Team State. That is roughly 3% of that class and 1% of schools that have wrestling.
  14. I think that it would be interesting, to take the 3 classes that we have broken schools down into, and see what percentage of each group has been to team state. I may try to figure that out later if I have time.
  15. First of all this is not the right location to voice your concerns over your own schedule. Start your own thread about Dual Meet scheduling, rather than high-jacking a thread that is about keeping Team State. I understand your concerns, but each coach has the right to develop their own schedule. If you have a problem with yours, then change it. Also, I understand the idea that dual meets are more fan friendly. I'm not sure if you are aware that our schedules are based on a points system. The system allocates 1 point for a dual meet and 2 points for a Super Dual meet. Therefore, if you have 2 dual meets you have used 2 of those points, where in a Super Dual, your entire team will be wrestling 5 matches. I would take 5 matches for my team over 2, any day. Once again, that is only my opinion, and that is why each coach has the power to do what they would like with their schedule.
  16. Are there less large class confirmations, because these coaches are opposed? Or is it just a coincidence?
  17. Great! Can we go ahead with them by the end of this week? Maybe go with the coaches that have confirmed for the preseason poll?
  18. I think that some of these coaches will need to be emailed in order for them to confirm. I think it would be cool if we could get this thing going, and post a pre-season class rankings!
  19. It's still recognition that wasn't received before! More attention for wrestlers is ALWAYS a good thing.
  20. If you look at the coach's who vote, about 80% of them are from the large division, 20 % are from the medium division, and 0% are from the small division.
  21. This class looks extremely competitive. I would think that several individuals who were on the fence with class wrestling could look at these 3 divisions and immediately become supportive of it. All 3 classes look very competitive.
  22. Karl, I would say the next step in the ranking process would be to find 10-20 coaches from each of these classes to vote on the top 10. With all of the work that you've done classing them, we are well on our way to having a 3 class rankings system.
  23. Where can you find a list of high schools that participate in wrestling in the state of Indiana?
