  1. Maybe using an additional multiplier based on data from JV team or individual events might be of some utility in the process. There are a number of JV events already. If teams know that this data will be used for placement, that might encourage the proliferation of more JV events (which is certainly good for the sport a a whole).
  2. It is absolutely ridiculous to say that Pearl Harbor was a "much bigger terrorist action than ever 9/11 was." One of the fundamental attributes of "terrorism" is that it deliberately targets non-combatants. Pearl Harbor was the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, a military target.

  5. Can someone tell me what time the actual wrestling will start on Friday? How long does the parade of champions typically take?
  6. I am fairly new to this discussion and I certainly don't have any authority to make recommendations. I simply love the sport of wrestling. Why can't teams BEGIN to restructure their schedules to leave a weekend free late in the year, one or two weeks before sectionals, for example? The tournaments could certainly be completed in a single weekend of competition. (If these issues have already been raised and addressed, don't feel like you have to give a long answer. Perhaps you could just refer me to the thread where it was previously discussed.)
  7. I think cdpd has a point. Especially with small schools, if you graduate a nucleus of kids, the quality of the team can radically change. If you are asking if this system is better than nothing, of course it is. It is certainly valid to question whether it could be better, though.
  8. Good picks, jsmth. I think Alex Thomas (South Vermillion) makes it out at 145. I suspect that either Hudson Miller (Crawfordsville) or Eli Smith (Fountain Central) will make it out at 152. Perhaps both of them will.
  9. I agree with much of the list but I like E. Myers from North Montgomery at 145.
  10. Any reason why Southmont's Whitlow and HWT didn't wrestle tonight?
  11. Wow. What an impressive site. Thank you for taking the time to put this all together.
