  1. Much thanks to Memorial and Castle for bringing this dual to us, but selflessly donating to such a worthy cause!

Great turn out for a Tuesday night dual and a lot of great matches...

Final Score was 55-14 Castle, but Memorial has some very talented kids that are going to be hard to beat in the coming weeks no matter who they face.

Much respect to these two great programs for not only wrestling their butt off, but doing it for such a great cause... And to the fans that came out and enjoyed the meet and gave to the cause...

  2. He forgot to mention DO NOT PARK IN HIS SHORT BUS SLOT ...

    ;-)

Looking forward to what is going to be another FANTASTIC day of SIAC Wrestling....This one NEVER fails to get the Post Season Rolling!

  3. 138 - why is it so huge to get the 2 seed?   I doubt the 3 seed is really any different than the 2?

Kyles will be at 220 and be a beast.

    hopefullly ferguson makes it back.

my pick to miss the bus is hook and half.

    Short Bus...

The 2 and 3 issue is usually no big deal...but that bracket is going to be all sorts of whacked out if someone pulls and upset over the next week or so.

  4. Every year there is some crazy circumstances at the Conference meet.   That's the only 100% Dead Lock for the SIAC.

Someone won't make weight...or will miss the team bus...or will show up on Sunday and not Saturday...something weird will happen and it will be the traditional SIAC Tourney from that point on.

  5. My Picks...

    Hummm...

    Really Great Wrestling?!?!?!?!

I see MD as the team to beat.   Some obvious picks for the West Siders.   But who knows what will happen between now and then.

I think there are some kids that are beiong written off as #2, #3, #4 etc that should be looked at more closely.   But having said that, I see MD 1, CA 2, CE/MA 3...then the rest...

The Kyle 220 or 285 question is interesting to me.   220 would seem like a great choicefor him to me.  The guy is truly capable of winning either.   But when it comes to the State Run, 220 would seem to be a better choice.   The farther you go, the better those big boys get.

Good to see you back on the board!

Why the chip on your shoulder? Who is denigrating castle? I have seen nothing but roses about you Knights...

That was more about teh text messages I was getting from the Knight Faithful and others about "what you are post in Indianamat".   Well wasn't me...

I will gladly take my beatings for MY comments, but not those of some nimrod with his mom's keyboard and AOL password.

  7. Well here we go again...

I get blamed for someone posting their bloviations here.  Wonderful.

Mater Dei has earned their spot at the top.   Beating PM is no small feat!

I don't disagree that they are a different team than the Mater Dei of years past, but you cannot take anything away from them.  They have beaten each team they have faced.  Number 1 is theirs until its taken from them...

On the subject of Castle.  I appreciate the nice things you say about them, but you obviously don't know much about the Castle program.  Year in and year out Castles coaches produce tough competition for everyone they face.  It is a huge credit to the coaches and supporters of castles program that they remain competitive no matter what the circumstances are.

Feel free to appreciate the efforts of these kids, but don't drag ANY of them into your stupidity.

  8. I am willing to bet if you asked both of them they would tell you that was their toughest match of the day.  Should have been a Finals match, but as we saw in ever bracket yesterday, sometimes that is the way it goes.

It was a great match that had long since been decided.
