Practice for all elem kids practice starts Wed Nov 2nd from 6-7 for all kids with 2 yrs experience and less and from 7-8 for all kids with 3+ years experience. All practices are on Monday and Wednesday's. Any more questions let is know! u can sign up on them days.

Perry Meridian High school is hosting a camp on Tuesday, June 7th for incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. This is a great chance for kids to get some last minute practice in before schoolboy duals. The camp will begin at 1:00 pm at the Perry High School wrestling room and will last until 7:30. The camp will consist of 3 sessions and an obstacle course. There will be a small snack provided. Biography Ben Wissel Height: 5 ft 11in Weight: 185 lbs/84 Kg Hometown: Richmond, IN School: Purdue University Birthdate: Dec 4,1982 Age: 23 High School: Richmond High School, Richmond, IN International Career: First year on the International Circuit College Career: Competed for Purdue University and coach Jessie Reyes. Wissel was a four-time Division 1 NCAA qualifier and earned All-America honors in the 2005 & 2006 seasons at 184 pound weight class. In his 2004 & 2006 seasons he placed 3rd at the Big Ten tournament. Through the duration of his competitive career as a Boilermaker he compiled a 114-49 record, joining a select group of wrestlers to earn a spot in the 100 wins club. High School Career: Competed for Richmond High School in Richmond Indiana. The four year letter winner placed at the state tournament 3 times capturing a state title his senior year finishing with a 136-24 overall record. Also lettered in football (three years) and baseball (three years) and was tabbed the all-state selection on the gridiron as a senior... coached by Matt Holeva (wrestling coach). Personal Informaion: Wissel was born in Richmond, Indiana, on December 4th, 1982. He is the son of Richard and Katha Wissel. He has three older brothers; Tom, Dan and Greg, as well as one sister Anne. He likes spending time with close friends and family at the farm. Hobbies include training; riding horses and mules, fishing, and helping others develop in the sport of wrestling. Taking thirty kids from one school is pretty impressive. I am sure the coaches could have hand picked the ones that was going to place and just had them come. But like coach said it is a team efffort.

Coach Tonte will be talking about his involvement in the wrestling community from elementary though high school. Coach Tonte will also have several wrestlers with him on the show. Also Roosevelt Culvin from Purdue and two time Super Bowl Champs New England Patriots, two golf pros, Olympic Karate Champion, and a weekly Notre Dame report. The web cast will air this Wednesday.
