  1. Guess we'll find out Saturday morning of sectionals. He has until then to make a change.
  2. Ya avoid white. The blood reason speaks for itself and white has a tendency to be see through.
  3. Will anyone post individual results?
  4. Who did Moody wrestle in last year's dual?
  5. Heritage Hills beat Evansville Memorial Evansville Memorial beat Mt. Vernon (Posey) Mt. Vernon (Posey) beat Princeton Evansville Memorial beat Princeton Princeton beat Heritage Hills Good Luck with that one!! ha ha
  6. I think we were just talking about wrestling in INDIANA. I'm sure there are heavyweights that have some great accolades outside of IHSAA wrestling, but I think the spirit of the question lies in the spotlight Indy. Kasten or Chico would have been a more accurrate slection. Schneider still beats whoever lines up across from him though, one of the best heavys IN has ever seen.
  7. I'm not scared to eat crow. This one will be hella close and will go to who wants it the most. (Insert whatever over-used cliche you like there). So here it goes... 103 R by dec 112 R by maj 119 MD by dec 125 MD by maj 130 MD by dec (tough one to call) 135 R by dec (not a knock to Rueger but MD will avoid bonus) 140 MD by maj 145 MD by dec 152 R by dec 160 MD by fall 171 MD by dec 189 R by dec 215 MD by dec (another flip a coin match) 285 R by dec MD-29 R-19....My score adjusting for more bonus than expected and human error would be 32-24 still MD. Swing matches at 119, 130, 152, 171, 215, and 285 If Reitz can win the majority these they have a shot.
  8. I'm usually not a critic, but I disagree with the HWT selection. Larrimore got pinned by Ruggerri. I would think Kasten or Chico may have been a better selection
  9. This thread sure went cold quick....... Come on westsiders....
  10. What if you looked at it from a TEAM rankings standpoint?
  11. False. It all hinges around control and being responsible for your opponent's safe landing if you chose to take him off of the mat. There is no exception for your knee hitting first.
  12. I don't think that this commercial was intended to persuade kids to wrestle. Instead it is more of a commercial recognizing everything that goes into wrestling. Dedication, sacrifice, discipline, mental toughness, etc. Those of us "in the know" know that not everyone has to cut 8lbs in 2 hours. Those of us who did know how hard it was and that line, in combination with the others, shows the grueling process that we all went or go through. I feel like Adidas' approach is more of an "in your face" to other sports. At the same time it relates to those who are not new to the wrestling world and is a tribute to an individual's hard work. That's what makes it great.
  13. Wow, best commercial of all time. Biased I know.
  14. 140 How about Whetstine or Raben? I think thats your finals match up.
  15. Interesting predictions. Just my thoughts.... Key match ups: 119, 140, 152, 171, and 285 I think these are all swing matches and very interesting ones at that. I don't think that MD is necessarily the favorites at 189 or 215. Fentress is an anchor for Reitz and they will rely heavy on him here. I don't think that Simms will tech...He will major or pin. I know its semantics but he is not a tech kind of guy. So expect a fall or major from him. 160 Brandenstien (sp? sry) beat Weikel ( a SQ) and I think he is the favorite there too. I also don't know if Boots gets a major either. Reitz has an impressive freshman there and Boots will have his hands full. Side note- this match will look like two Basketball centers going at it. PS- is this match @ MD?
  16. If Moberly had problems getting off bottom vs Simms, he will have an even tougher hill to climb vs Welch. No upset here...Welch wins.
  17. Whetstine beat MD at the classic. Muerer has yet to step up after conference, he will fade.
  18. I think it is up to the host school. There is an IHSAA by-law that allows him to wrestle, but I think the host school has the option to deny him (based on liability reasons). This topic came up when UC was at the Harrison 10-way.
  19. This is off memory and may not be all of them or all correct... Avon Fern Creek KY Floyd Central Franklin Community Mater Dei Memorial MT. Carmel, IL New Albany North Posey Providence Sullivan Tell City TRINITY KY UNION COUNTY, KY Vincennes Lincoln Caldwell County KY Floyd Central (maybe)
  20. Cashe was taken to OT today by Alex Johns (Reitz grad) from UIndy. My source says AJ owned the match. Cashe had to get 2 late takedowns just to send it to OT. Not downin' Cashe, but Aj is no "Angel".
  21. Wow...he was a beast last year. Was he a conference champ?
