  2. Franklin had several at 85 this past weekend. Blake Rypel 1st, Cyle Vaughn 2nd. Not sure about placement after that but Bryant Haynes, Tristen Tonte, Thomas Dull and a few others were in there too. Jordan Vaughn won 80, pretty sure Brett Johnson got 2nd. Jack Chastain won 75.
  3. Do you have to declare a weight? Can we pay when we register?
  4. Someone might have more details but I am pretty sure that Kayla Miracle from Bloomington did in 2007. She may have been a Midget or first year Novice at the time.
  5. The match up between IN Gold and Red Cobra had to be the most exciting of the tournament (not biased at all). So many of the matches were back and forth and nail biters to the end with all of the boys giving 100%. Thank you to all of the wrestlers, coaches, and parents of both teams for keeping a friendly rivalry fun and exciting. Team IN Red Cobra Tyson Lane Trey Lane Sam Fair Ty Mills Chad Red Brock Hudkins Brayton Lee Alston Bane Nathan Walton Blake Rypel Tristen McDaniel Ben Stewart Benjamin Harvey Shane Ice Solomon Fair Gabe Estes Evan Smiley Blake Schjoll Jasion Brogan CONGRATS BOYS!
  6. I like the points system. I definately agree with the cap or max on the National tournaments but they should still count for more than local stuff. It could still work out to be fair if a lot of local tournaments (including nearby in OH, IL, etc) are included. I still think it would encourge more top kids to participate in the local stuff. It might also help more results get posted since everyone seems to be horrible at posting them anymore. As far as putting a number by the kids... this would just be for fun and I would hope that the adults would not make the numbers that much of an issue. I would imagine that doing a top 10 or 20 by division would be really hard. How do you compare a 60lb Novice to a 110lb novice to come up with a pound for pound ranking. Lots of opinion involved.
  7. Here is a link to the MI one for those that have not seen it. It looks like it would be fun. It might draw some more interest to the local tournaments that are included as point scoring tournaments too. http://www.michigangrappler.com/files/Youth_Wrestling/fab50.html
  8. Blake is closer to 85 than 80. He will likely be at 85 most of the season. I have heard that Austin Ramsey has been working hard... Rachel Welliever should surprise a few guys
  9. Ok, where is Shane to start the annual "who is going to be tough at..." thread?
