  1. Tsirtsis in the semi-finals with some good wins against the college wrestlers. I think he will wrestle Ramos in the Semi-finals
  2. His off season schedule is nuts. Flonationals, Fila and Scholastic duals then Jr. WTT. He is one wrestler that seeks out the best competition any chance he gets. Good luck to him, hopefully can get to the semis to face Ramos from Iowa.
  3. Yeah I agree, especially if he is wrestling in the scholastic duals next week. 132 is stacked this week with Logan Stieber, Ramos, dardanes (I think he won it last year) and many more college studs.
  4. Y2, I was talking about the tournament this week in Cleveland. I thought that was the tournament Tsirtsis was talking about on his interview. 2011 ASICS FILA Jr Nationals - Freestyle Is this a different one than FILA Jr. WTT's?
  5. Tsirtsis in his interview after his flonationals win said he was going 132 in freestyle but I don't see him listed. I think he got 4th last year.
  6. What was the score of the Green/Welch match. Green is stud.
  7. I thought you were right. They have him listed as a Freshman. But I was assuming it was the 7th grader. 7th grader winning state in Minnesota is pretty impressive. mark hall Freshman 135 apple valley minnesota Just looked again at the weights and saw Jackson must have moved to 130. I know I saw him at 135 earlier must have been a late switch.
  8. I see Tsirtsis and Jackson at 135. Hall the 7th grader from Minnesota is also in the weight. 135 looks really tough with a lot of nationally ranked wrestlers. Good luck to all the indiana wrestlers.
  9. Wisconsin in 2013 133 Thilke 141 Tsirtsis 149 McCauley
  10. I don't think Purdue or IU would be a good choice. I like Iowa as a fan but I don't see him there either, hope I am wrong. Maybe Northwestern? What weight do you think he will wrestle?
  11. The other topic was locked so I will post here. In my post I wish I would not have stated what I said. I am very appreciative what they do. I am sure this hard. Just had a hard time following the radio broadcast. But what I wanted to know out of my original post was details on Fuqua's injury. Not from the announcer but anybody who knows what happened. I saw him a few times throughout the year and was really impressed. Is Schroeder a hammer on top? I was impressed at how well MD was on top in the close matches. I would like to see Roach wrestle agains Illinois in the border dual. Roach vs. Edwin Cooper would be fun.
  12. Sorry if he was your friend or coach, but I listened to the entire dual except for the first match. So when I tuned in, the first match they said Swope was up 8-1 then got the major. I was like how could that be. Well it was Kral I guess he never said it but figured it out when the next match started. In the 152 match he said Flemme at 0-0 was wrestling wiezenpfal all the way until mid 2nd period. Here are some of the comments of other posters listneing: Theirry: These announcers don't know the team score....Roach wrestling now Announcers aren't sure who is wrestling...lol It's not Roach tho Announcers still not sure who is wrestling I am sure it is not easy to announce two teams you don't know too well, but it was hard to tell what was going on by listening. Again, I am thankful for what they did. I am sorry if offended you or your coach but it was tough to tell what was going on by listening. In the Fuqua match they never said there was warning just that there was stalling call and we are going to OT.
  13. When and what period did Fuqua get hit with his first stalling or should say his warning? This was the deciding match in the dual mainly because of the controversy and it turned the lineup upside down, forward and backward and never got to see Roach wrestle, I agree the outcome would not have changed unless he got to wrestle Sims which I think would have been a great match and could have gone either way. I though Henderson would beat Harvey and Goebel would beat Saroff after these two minor upsets, I thought it was all over for MD. In all three of the close matches, I mean 1 pt matches MD had a ride out period when they were on top to win it. Burlison lost to Pierre by 1 on a ride out Fuqua lost to Schroder by 1 on a ride out Shrewsbury lost to Bradenstien by 1 on a ride out. The only takedown MD had in either match was Bradenstein with 3 sec left. That is crazy What was the Fuqua injury? I know he had a bum knee all year, but what was wrong where he had to wear the face mask. I was not their just listened on Broadcastsports. As much as I like the coverage of Broadcast sports the announcer was clueless.
  14. What does box score look like so far? If somebody does not mind posting it. Thanks
  15. Roach controlled Sims last year 8-2 or 7-2 at State. It would have been great for wrestling. Sims would have been the favorite, but I feel Roach would have won 3-2. Guess we will never know. The Schroeder match was the key. Fuqua gets three stalling calls and losses. That was the key, changed the whole CP lineup around IMO.
  16. Feel bad for Roach does not get to compete in last high school match. I wish they would have protested after the match or let them wrestle. I think Roach goes up 15 lbs and gets the 3-2 win Hats off to Shrewsbury on a gutty performance.
  17. shewrsbuy must not be there. They really had to move some weights.
  18. I agree with what you said but it seems like most people are picking MD. Seems they are the favorite to win it this year. If CP does win against MD I think Kral beats Cooper this time, but I think PM beats CP. MD beats CP and PM. MD seems like they are team to beat.
  19. I have Shrewsbury with a dec not a major. This is a swing match and I think will be a one or two point match either way.
  20. Have not seen everybody wrestle this year, but will post potential lineups and my picks. Some of the PM I may be way off and the PM fans can correct me. 21. I have see both wrestle and have seen both wrestle on the national level. In folkstyle, I think Alex was better on his feet. Jason is better on bottom. They were both real good on top. Alex seemed to dominate his opponents more up to this point in their career (after Junior year), i know that is hard to believe but he did IMO. Senior year in high school, Alex had some close score matches (never was in danger). English's matches were always 3-7 points, and Marty Engwall from Providince in Illinois had him on his back. Alex was amazing on his feet. Alex had some unfortunate luck as well at Fargo. Metcalf and Schlatter were in his wt classes Jr and Senior year. His Senior year he could have went 140 but went 145 instead to face Metcalf. Both great but I feel Alex would have won a match if both Juniors in High school. I think what Jason will learn is to redshirt his freshman year. I really think Alex would have benefitted from a redshirt. Alex seemed to have some mental lapses in college matches. Will be interesting to see what wt class Jason will go in college, I always thought Alex was small for 141, but the cut to 133 was probably too much. I think Jason wins fargo this year. Only person at 135 or 140 I see beating him is Stieber. I even think he would win a rematch against Ormsbee.
  22. Young man is on a different level. By far the best pound for pound wrestler in Indiana. Anybody know what colleges on his list? Be interesting to see if he goes to Iowa.
  23. Will the finals be available to watch? I think the last couple of years they were.
