  1. Now that we have heard the transcript, Robert's reference to Monday was when the announcement would be made on the location of 2024, not when the tournament would be held. Sorry for the confusion.
  2. The podcast will be posted later today, but I am almost certain I heard him say "or the following Monday" in reference to the dates for next year's State Finals. Did not see that coming. Also-potentially a change in the layout of the mats and the seating arrangements at this year's State Finals. And finally-Mr. Faulkens noted that full sanctioning for the girls is at maximum two years away Listen to the rest on the podcast, it was a good interview!
  3. We've got a great show planned for tonight, so tune in on 92.7 FM on your radio or on the Simple Radio app, or online at WZBD.com on your laptop or desktop computer as we interview assistant commissioner Robert Faulkens, go through the Jay County Regional brackets and interview coach Tony Abbott of Cowan High School. Don't miss our interview with Commissioner Faulkens in the first period! Show starts at 7 p.m.!
  4. I voted for Oak Hill because I knew they were better than Owen Valley, but you guys shot yourselves in foot by not taking the simple step of posting your results.
  5. Coming from someone (myself) who actually voted for Oak Hill as the last team in, it is awfully hard to justify Oak Hill when their program refuses to post results. It was almost like Oak Hill didn't want in.

  11. The Berne Witness wouldn’t even cover the ACAC duals, not sure they’re going to go to Franklin…..
  12. Once again WZBD, the leader in high school wrestling coverage on the radio in Indiana, will be covering the Girls State Finals in January. This broadcast will feature not just local coverage but coverage of the whole tournament. We are looking for commercial support of our efforts to make the girls tournament as accessible as possible. If you have a business that is wrestling related or just want to support bringing this broadcast to the state, please contact me at decbell1@gmail.com.
  13. I celebrated my birthday one year with Thor at the Double Eagle and he almost burned the place down when they wouldn't turn on the NCAA wrestling finals that night.
