ECIC is December 23 at Jay County High School. 1st round is scheduled to start at 9:00 am. The tournament director does a nice job of getting started on time and keeps this tournament moving.

Seed meeting is Monday at 7 pm. Will try to have brackets posted sometime that night. Muncie South joined and didn't replace anyone. 17 teams will be here in Portland on the 23. We are in the process of getting in teams with full rosters. AJ and Gonzo how are you doing?

I had a coach tell me that strength is a great equalizer. I know we have all had kids in our rooms who were technically better than that JR or SR but would get caught or would lose in certain scramble situations because of this.

I still would rather watch two good 103's than 2 good heavies. Ton more action in those matches which makes it exciting to watch.

1. Get rid of the Folkstyle season for Cadets and Junior. In the 90's freestyle and greco was all I wrestled after season. Those who want to wrestle folk will find ways to wrestle. Rules and rule changes do affect greco and freestyle. I have parents tell me that their son will not wrestle greco because of the lift. The lift can be very dangerous, we have seen the videos. I know that Indiana has little to do with rules but this is an issue. 4. Handpicked teams would be the best way. However, some credit does need to be given for top placement at ISWA event. 5. Joe mentioned multiple camps sites, that would be a plus. Not making them mandatory could help. 9. Pay 12. Too long

It might be more of a case of to get some you have to give some. Most agree that something needs to be done between 71 and 215 and moving 103 up to 106 or 107 would help. Hopefully more people will vote, 18 votes of all the voices on Indiana wrestling is real small.

Could someone post or email me the list of Cadet and Junior Partcipants for both styles. I would appreciate that.

Y2, I know you are the research guru. How has Ness done in the National Folkstyle tournaments? There are some great wrestlers who never win a state high school tournament but excel in the international sports of Greco and Freestyle. What I am getting at is how does comparing Greco and Freestyle to Folkstyle and class wrestling make any sense. Styles are different.
