  2. Fresh Fish, Watch him wrestle Sat. night and you will no about him. It's just that easy!
  3. I'll admit I have not watched Hall wrestle, but watching Phillips this weekend all I can say is Wow! This kid is good. Just made my 103 decision a lot tougher!
  4. I can say I have seen Richey wrestle.
  5. Dorris will not beat Richey. Nothing against him, just being honest. I will be rooting for all the TL Sectional and Logan Regional guys!
  6. I figured. That was my senior year. My buddy actually drew Mendez in the ticket round b/c he kept losing to Hernandez. Wow that was a good year of wrestling. Ha!
  7. I believe I said I like it how it is. I also said I see benifits of having class wrestling. Then I stated that IF we go to class I would only like to see 2 classes. Whether anyone admits it or not there are benefits to class wrestling.
  8. I'll admit I like Indiana how it is, however, I also think we could benefit from class wrestling. It goes both ways for me. I also feel that 2 classes would be a great way to start!
  9. So we need more classes than Illinois? :-\
  10. I believe Coach Kenny Houston coached at Twin Lakes for 32 years. Give or take a year.
  11. Everyone smile! ;D We get narrowed down to the best 16 wrestlers in each weight class after tomorrow.
  12. Really going to use a 4xer to justify this statement? And if I remember correctly doesn't Griffith only have about 850 students? Sorry if I'm wrong on that statement.
  13. My kids play more than one sport, but they are still willing to give up extra time to learn more about wrestling. It's funny when you mention spring and summer wrestling, and the fact that you are willing to give up your time to help them they will want to participate. I live 30 min. away from my school, and I am technically not a "teacher" in the corporation yet, so I do not have a classroom. I do work in the school. So when 3:15 comes around I could go home, but I have decided to stay around and find stuff to do until the multi-sport athletes can make it to spring wrestling around 4:45. If you take the time you can still get them to participate in wrestling in the spring. ;D
  14. Nice cewrestlingfan...i just put that on another post! Wahoo for you!
  15. So track, swimming, cross country, golf, and whatever other sports have or dont have a class system should? Just wondering?
  16. I could be wrong, but I think he was for class wrestling? :-X
  17. Like it has been stated multiple times...1 true champion! I am happy the way it is. That is all I'm saying!
  18. More kids=more coaches...which I know most small schools would not get. I will take 22 kids in the room with a lot more one on one instruction. I'll be honest if I had 50 kids in my room: 1) I would have troubles getting enough coaches to get a good coach to wrestler ratio 2) They would not fit
  19. I coach at a semi-small school and I do not want class wrestling. I do not care if they have 5 guys to pick from in every weight class, I'll take the one that came out for the team in that weight class. It means they are just as determined as the other schools guy at that weight class because they are there. I also let me wrestlers decide on if they want to do other sports. I am not going to pressure them into doing wrestling all year round. However, if they do not participate in a spring sport then strongly encourage them to do spring and summer wrestling. There is no reason for Indiana to go to class wrestling. I am proud to say I was 1 of 16 guys at state my senior year. It is a lot better than 1 of 32!
  20. Hmm, no I was not there. However, like others have said that ref had a great view of what was flat/not flat. Either way they are both great wrestlers. I'm not arguing for or against the pin. If he was flat for 10 seconds I'm sure the pin would have been called. I'm pretty positive these two will meet at least on 2 more occasions. The truth will come out on who the better wrestler is. No worries here!
  21. But shorter than 2 I'm sure! ;D Like Sean said, That day is over. Great thing about wrestling is rematches. They will have one come Saturday. Then probably another one come the following Saturday. Then you will know best of 3 who is better!
  22. Will the 1st and 3rd placers be on the same side of the bracket at conseco?
