I didn't know that a solitary post on this subject, and my second total ever on this board would be construed in this manner.

The rules state: "Any coach of the contestant .... has the prerogative to default a match to the opponent at any time prior to the conclusion of wrestling" Then, was the match over: "The conclusion of wrestling occurs when the time expires at the end of the third period, when the overtime ends, or when a fall, disqualification or a default occurs." Did a default occur? "If a contestant is injured as a result of an illegal hold/maneuver, ..... to the extent the contestant is unable to continue following a maximum of two minutes recovery time, the contestant shall be awarded the match by default." The two minute recovery clock expired, the wrestler did not continue; therefore, wrestling had ended and a default should of been awarded to the injured wrestler.

The wait time to enter the Ford Center was unacceptable today which can be attributed to: 1) Electronic tickets that need to be validated for entry in a nearly cell phone reception free area. 2) One open entry door. VenuWorks was closing down concessions during the introductions of the final matches. It was like they could not wait for us to leave. Please sort it out before rest of the state visits our city.
