I was pretty surprised in the level of competition that showed up at ISWA state. It seems like most kids are traveling out of state to wrestle or just think they're too good to wrestle in ISWA state, so they decide to not wrestle. But this year there was a lot of competition. I was 126,132, & 220 (Parris) were probably the most stacked weight classes. High levels of talent! Hope these kids stay off their high horses & keep coming back.

I meant what year? I think Y2 was stating the rankings are improving on getting them correctly, and I'm not intending to bash these dudes, but they're wasn't always 20 ranked wrestlers... it used to be on 16 when they first started. Which of course you're gonna have more ranked wrestlers go to state. That's 56 extra kids (14x4) having a chance going to state. My whole point is, rankings don't mean nothin! Hell we didn't even have rankings when I was in HS! I've seen the #1 and #2 kid in state lose Friday night MULTIPLE times!

I think Cathedral gets all 6 through Friday night. Them & Portage are for sure the dark horses, Warren got bad draws, Penn I think isn't a huge factor (especially since Woods won't beat Parris), it's Brownsburg's to lose. But ah, we left out good ol Mater Dei w/ 3 potential state champs...
