If a kid wrestles in a qualifier and isn’t going to state does the 5th place kid get to go?
-
Will there be video going at this tournament? I was hoping to watch it. Thanks

I believe it is being seeded this year off of past USA Wrestling Results.
Do you know any more details? Like specific USA events or just state results from previous years?

I understand what your saying, but this is a little different. Kids have to make weight at what they qualified I thought? Maybe I’m wrong.. but I would venture to say most coming down will make weight.
Can’t be until the end of registration because of kids that went to Tulsa. Can they choose any weight class or do they have to wrestle the weight they weighed at Tulsa?
-
Do kids that went to Tulsa get to choose the weight class or do they wrestle what they weighed at Tulsa? 2nd question is, do Tulsa kids come in not seeded or do they get separation criteria?

No I don’t, but the way they handled 2nd/3rd makes me think that the tournament will be seeded based on placing here which is how it should be done.
I agree. Just using separation criteria can be sketchy and unnecessary when you have placements. Only tough part will be with the Tulsa kids.

Honestly, I think this is a great plan. I thought the event was smooth and well run. I like the idea of a qualifier and advancement with seeding.
It’s almost like a mini-state. If you have young wrestlers that have never participated in an event larger than local or a greater metro tournament, this was a good entry into bigger wrestling with higher expectations.
Wrestling for a reason matters too. Watching young people understand the idea of winning one or two more or wrestling for seeding was refreshing.
Do you know how the seeding will work?

What’s everyones thoughts on these now that they have happened? Just curious.

Yes the wrestle offs will be 3-20-22 at Contenders wrestling academy and time slots for each weight division are listed on the ISWA home page under the Team IN heartland duals tab.
This also is the same for those kids that place 1-8 at MS state as they will also be invited to do wrestle offs to qualify for the MS Team IN national team.
Thank you!

Yes, you can watch all mats on individual tabs. How you do so depends on your internet connection/speed/bandwidth, the device you're using, etc.
I open 4 tabs, one for each mat. Cast one to my TV. Watch another on laptop. Use Trackwrestling Dashboard to keep up with what match is going on and on what mat. All matches are archived and can be watched later as well. Thanks for the help!
