Avon would like welcome Dylan Lydy. Some of Dylan's High School accomplishments include: high school record of 125-20 2015 IHSAA State Champ @ 170 LBS 4x High School All-American His College Accomplishments start with a UWW 8th Place as a Freshman and This year had a breakout year for the Boilermakers!!! 5th at the Navy Classic 8th at the Vegas invite 3rd at Midlands 5th at Big Tens and was an NCAA Qualifier to finish his redshirt sophomore season!

Fila Cadet Freestyle Champ NCAA National Champ @ 125lbs in 2008 and a World Team Member!! Come out this Thursday to get a great workout in before we get ready for State Weekend!! Enter door 31 RTC is from 6:00-7:30 Anyone with a USAW Card can attend!!

The Orioles would like to welcome Head Wrestling Coach of Marian University. Coach Bradley is an Indiana Great. He was a 4x Placer with 3 titles. He was a 5x freestyle and greco all-american with a freestyle National Title. Come out and learn from one of greatest in Indiana history. Tomorrow night from 6:00-7:30 enter door 31 down the hall first doors to the left. Come get better and train for Freestyle and Greco State coming up!!

Doug and Chad Welch will be running the Avon's RTC this thursday! Between the Welch Twins they have: - Over 360 high school wins - 8x State Qualifier - multiple state championships -4x NCAA qualifier -3x Big Ten Place Winner These guys are great wrestlers with a lot of knowledge. Come out to Avon to get a great workout in this Thursday!!

Avon RTC starts tomorrow 6:00-7:30. Coach Brian Smiley will be running the RTC at Avon tomorrow. Coach Smiley was a Indiana State Champ in '97 and a 2x Placer. He was a 2x Fargo All-American and wrestled collegiality for hoosiers of Indiana University. Coach Smiley just finished his first year as the Head Coach of Plainfield High school. Coach Smiley brings a wealth of knowledge and toughness to the Avon RTC. Also at the RTC will be: 2x State Champ Asa Garcia 3x Qualifer and 2x placer Nathon Conley 2x Placer Ray Rioux and State Qualifiers Tyler Conley and Carson Brewer Come out and get a great workout in!!

Ya I got that... I was just making sure that it wasn't like you get 4 more bonus point... That one guy will get the points for a SS1R Qualifier correct?

Just trying to understand this... So if I have a kid that's a regional qualifier in a quota 5 regional.. He would get points for a first round SS first round qualifier????

As a Coach you have to do everything you can to fight for your kid... if that means he sits a meet for a section conference seed then you do it... Its not about the other kids family or friends... its about protecting your kids.. I've seen many coaches do it and does it suck when your on the other side of it... YES, but if i was in the same position i would do it also... is it dodging matches??some say it is... but is not sissy its not bad for the sport. In MOST cases, they have seen the wrestler before and beat them... That kid should have beat them in the first match. I know this doesn't apply to this match, but bumping a kid up to get him another win on his record instead of a loss. That's a strategy for seeding because winning percentage is a criteria...
