  1. I'm going to go watch it again now. I thought he still had a leg, which typically holds control.
  2. I thought they ultimately got it right, if you're referring to Vanover - Mills. Defintely not smooth, with reversing the call.
  3. Call it what you want. But it was a close match at the very least. It was 3-2 at the end of the 1st, 4-4 at the end of the 2nd. Kelby let him up to start the 3rd, so he was down 5-4 in the 3rd. Then a TD and escape made it 6-6. A takedown with 4 seconds left for the win. Seeming in control of a match doesn't mean it's not close. Maybe back and forth was the wrong words, but I stand by it.
  4. Nice win for Noah Terry of Tell City over Vinent Tinoco. Also another example of piss poor clock management by the referees. At the end there was 1 or 2 seconds left, they called a caution and restarted. Terry hits a double leg and takes Tinoco to his back basically twice before they blew the whistle. The guys at the table kept calling time and then kept telling the referee after "you only had 1 second".
  5. Is it me or did the 2 back points look kinda quick? Didn't make a difference to the outcome. I was surprised Prechtel chose down in the 3rd period, though. Nice 5-0 win for Hutchinson!
  6. Big win for Center Grove for the team race
  7. I agree. But it's been happening all day. On a separate note - Tyce DuPont (Tell City) just got a 3rd period fall over Chase Carrington (Greencastle). Down 4-2, DuPont gets an escape and a takedown to back for the fall. Big win for the Marksmen
  8. Another crazy match some may have missed... Bradley Owen (Jeffersonville) WBF over Alex Smith (Heritage Hills). Smith led most of the match, including 8-2 going into the 3rd. Owen made a helluva comback, ultimately getting a takedown to back for the fall.
  9. I've been wondering all morning whey they don't have someone with a towel to tap the referee as time runs out. I've seen several matches where they wrestled for 2-3 seconds after time ran out, a couple times even where someone at the table had to yell out "Time"
  10. Another 1 point match with Courtney taking it this time. I guess Vanover was wrestling better than before too. Or... they are just very evenly matched.
  11. Yes. The 2nd Round at SS is known as the Ticket Round, aka punching your ticket to State
  12. Courtney - Vanover in another tight 3-2 match, with Courtney coming out with the victory this time.
  13. Kelby Glenn (Tell City) with a nice 8-6 win over Parker Reynolds (Brownsburg). Great match that was back and forth the whole time. Glenn wins it with 2 takedowns in the 3rd period, the last with less than 5 seconds left!
  14. Hammack did it to himself! He tried to get the ankle pic while Ison had a single leg and just handed him a cradle. Great job by Ison in recognizing and taking advantage!
  15. Man it would be nice if they had a mic on for Mat 3 for Hammack - Ison!!!
  16. Seng wasn't having of it, taking a 10-1 win to the semifinals. Also, Tell City's Chase Stephens eliminated Liam Krueger of Columbus East 3-1
  17. Looking forward to Seng vs. Parker. Parker's only 3 losses on the year all were in SV and he won his wild opening round match in SV.
  18. Nate Rioux wins 7-6 over Ty Henderson after being on his back and down 5-0 early
  19. 220 - Mason Hines (Tecumseh) WBF over Tyson Ruhe (Jasper) in a must watch match. Ruhe had the early lead as much as 10-4. The score was 13-11 Ruhe when Hines got a reversal (from his back) and got the fall. Lots of action. Go back and watch this match!!
  20. Mat 4 in Evansville now has volume and they are doing light commentary.
  21. I'll add Kudos to whoever is running the table at Mat 1 in Evansville. Mic is on. No excessive chatting and what is there is kept to a low level so it's not really heard. I hear a female voice. Not sure who it is, but her and whoever else is running that table deserves a shoutout!
  22. Prechtel (Jasper) wins by fall. Track had the colors wrong
  23. Alex Smith (Heritage Hills) WBF over Braedon Spears (Plainfield) in what I would call a mild upset.
