  1. Indiana Wrestling Royalty.... Coach Lance Ellis, will be our special guest this week in the room on Tuesday and Thursday night. Coach McClurg and Steven Bradley are out of town this week, but the room won't skip a beat with Coach Blackwell and the Roncalli staff.... We hope to see some IN wrestling killers of all ages in there scrapping, because summer wrestling makes winter champions! The Clinch (over under body lock)... If anyone beats Coach Ellis in this position, then you can win an entry into "Ripleys Believe It or Not"

  3. Alec Viduya wins by tech fall 12-0 vs Bryce Andonian (Ohio). Andonian was big school division Ohio HS State Champion at 106 lbs this last season from St. Ed's.
  4. Just a reminder to anyone owning a Usaw card... Rebel Wrestling Foundation is working out Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30pm-8:00pm. We have guys in the room training for schoolboy/cadet/junior duals, Fargo, etc. We obviously have Roncalli kids from all ages K-12, we have also had many athletes come in from surrounding schools to put some summer work in, we also have college guys in the room. On an average night there are 30+ guys of all ages K-College... Take advantage of this opportunity! Summer wrestling makes winter champions It's a great room... Our club room is free of cost currently through the summer (June, July, August)... until we have registration and sign ups in September for the new Usaw calendar year.   6. Bryce Sharp of Carmel High School has qualified for the IHSAA state finals in track in the discus. He won the regional with a throw of 149 feet and 10 inches. The polish power, Ed Pendoski, is known for developing some track & field throwers first with Spurrier at portage and now Sharp

  13. Roncalli High School will be hosting Rebel Wrestling Foundation Workouts on Tuesday and Thursday Nights from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Must have a USAW card to attend. There is no charge for attending these workouts in May, June, July and August.   17. Tuesday March 29th REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER @ Carmel HS Tuesday 6:00pm RTC is an open room free of cost on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm-7:30pm. This is only open to Middle School and High School aged wrestlers. We encourage kids to take advantage of this awesome opportunity.... many wrestlers from surrounding schools have been coming to this workout to train. This week Tuesday March 29th our guest clinician will be: Doug Welch and Chad Welch (Purdue University Wrestlers) - The Welch Twins will be in the blue room this week to run the Carmel RTC on Tuesday, March 29th at 6pm. - Doug Welch was a NCAA D1 National Qualifier for Purdue, a 4 year starter, he was 2011 IHSAA State Champion and 3x state place winner in his prep career at Castle. - Chad Welch was a NCAA D1 National Qualifier for Purdue 3 times, 4 year starter, lost in the Round of 12 at 2016 NCAA Championships, 2011 IHSAA State Champion, 2011 NHSCA Senior National Champion in his prep career at Castle. - We are excited to have Doug and Chad in the room Tuesday. Coach Johns was a 2x NCAA D2 All-American for UINDY, a 4 year starter, and has spent the last 2 seasons as an Assistant Coach with the UINDY Greyhound Wrestling Program. He was a 3x state place winner in his prep career at Evansville Reitz. We are excited to have Coach Alex Johns in the room tomorrow. Steven is an Indiana Legend and now a head collegiate wrestling coach at Marian University in Indianapolis! If you're looking to be seen and want a great workout get to RTC on Tuesday. We had 8 different schools represented at our first one with 30 kids scrapping and getting better. #GetBetterTogether Head Coach 1st Season Indianapolis '05 INDIANAPOLIS - Former three-time Indiana state wrestling champion and Beech Grove standout Steven Bradley has been named the first-ever head wrestling coach at Marian University, director of athletics Steve Downing officially announced on Thursday. "We are excited to have Steven join our staff," said Downing. "We believe he will bring energy to the department and will build the program exactly how we want it built. Steven will bring in quality student-athletes who will perform on the field and in the classroom." "I am very excited about this opportunity to create and enviroment that breeds success on and off the wrestling mat," said Bradley. "I look forward to having a positive influence on the lives of these young men on a daily basis. This wrestling program is a great addition to the high-quality athletics at Marian University as well as to Indiana wrestling as a whole. I would like to thank President Elsener and Mr. Downing for hiring me and having faith in me to run this program with the utmost integrity." Bradley brings a wealth of experience within the wrestling world. In his 10 seasons as a collegiate coach, he has helped guide 33 all-americans, 73 national qualifiers and three national champions. In his first head coaching job, Bradley spent three seasons at Lincoln College in Illinois. From 2012-14, he earned back-to-back regional coach of the year accolades after guiding his team to a pair of team regional championships in 2013 and 2014. In his three seasons, he coached 12 NJCAA All-Americans, 26 national qualifiers, two national champions and had a 21-9 record in dual matches. In his first season, he guided the team to a third-place finish at the 2012 NJCAA National Championship. He was also the director of the Lincoln College Fitness Center during his time as head coach. Bradley spent 2008-11 as assistant coach at Lincoln before being elevated in 2012. During his time as an assistant, he worked with 10 all-americans, 28 national qualifiers and one national champion. His first college coaching stop was as assistant coach at the University of Indianapolis from 2005-08. In his four seasons as an assistant at UIndy, he worked with 11 all-americans and 19 national qualifiers. In 2008, Bradley was inducted into the Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame as a wrestler. Bradley began his collegiate wrestling career at Lincoln College and was a NJCAA national runner-up in 2000. He graduated from Lincoln in 2000 and continued his studies at UIndy where his career was cut short due to injury. He took up coaching with the Greyhounds and earned his bachelor of science in 2005. He completed his master of coaching education from Ohio University in December of 2013. He resides in Indianapolis and will guide the Knights into their first season as a NAIA program beginning this fall.
