  1. Nahhhhhhhhhhhhh.... blame it on being from ohio. Note the little "o". LOL!
  2. Have four mats EVER been laid down on the floor in Assembly Hall... let alone has one ever graced that floor?
  3. I noticed that as well, and another coach yelling over to the opposing team, and finally the kid flashing the "three" to the opposing crowd... the walk was clearly before the book was signed. His own bright idea would backfired in his face. I hope the PIAA suspends him at least one match if not the rest of the season.
  4. NEVER have I seen such a blatant DIVE taken before until this... totally agree with the slam call which was in a previous match, that apparently green received the win on a DQ as well. But in this later match, when green rakes the eyes, and the official calls it, there's no reaction at all by the red wrestler. Doesn't grab his eye, face,... nothing. He calmly adjusts his head gear as he comes to the middle of the mat. Then all of a sudden, as he's looking towards his corner, he requests recovery time. IMHO classless acts by ALL involved. I hope the PIAA (Pennsylvania's version of the IHSAA) reviews that video and does any additional reprimanding beyond the coaches and all mixing it up. Very sad for wrestling period.
  5. The NCC has been canceled at Huntington North. No word was given on possible reschedule to me. Moo-moo. (referee)
  6. Good question on this. The point here is that "position" is in reference to a restart of the match. On a restart if there was a mess up with offense restarting as defense or if there was control and restarting in the neutral position, or vice versa, now you have bad time. In the case you discuss, there was no bad time.
  7. There are some things that must be clarified here. Not in regards to whether the move was legal or illegal, but what happens when it was declared illegal. You now go to RECOVERY TIME... not injury. There are distinctive differences between the two. In this case is that RECOVERY lasts a maximum of two minutes. If at the end of the two minutes, the injured wrestler cannot continue, he SHALL be awarded the match by default (Rule 8-2-2). The injured wrestler may not default to his opponent since the injury was the result of a judged illegal act. The match would have to be legally restarted, and at that time a default to the opponent could be given. As far as the trainer being overruled, that is a specific rule we must abide to as officials... Rule 8-2-5.. "A designated, onsite, appropriate health care professional who determines a wrestler should not participate, shall not be overruled."
  8. On broadcastsport.net! Click on FORT WAYNE SEMISTATE!
  9. We ARE broadcasting now, but you will have to click on "Jimtown Wrestling Pep Rally" to get into the action.
  10. Very true Fearless... gotta figure A LOT of Conseco will be focused on that first round match, cheering her on. Thing is, she's on a major roll. If she can beat Davis of Penn, and get no less than that 2 seed in her bracket, that will be very helpful. It could be a rematch of her and Micic in the finals.
  11. Kayla Miracle becomes the first female to qualify for the IHSAA wrestling state championships! She defeats Truver from Lake Central in a dominating 10-0 victory. Congratulations Ms. Miracle. It didn't take one to get you there, you just kicked butt!
