I am just a little confused on your math. The Castle sectional advanced 14 wrestlers. How is it the person who predicted 16 better than the person who predicted 13? -
This is the winning answer right here! One side note however, Evansville SS proved to be the strongest last year with total # of champs & placers.

I have a couple of questions regarding Team State & the Coaches Trophy. 1st - Which do you covet most & why? 2nd - Can someone post the results from the years of Team State of how many times has the team which won Team State also won the Coaches Trophy? Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide this info!

I don't know about points but... Castle regional has 15 placers SIAC conference has 13 placers How did other regionals & conferences fair?

Thanks for the info. It is hard to argue that M'ville is the toughest semi-state. Past results speak loudly. I was wondering if there was one particular regional that feeds it that is consistently dominate. Does the Rochester Regional consist of what it referred to as 'Da Region'?

I do not have a dog in this fight but I am curious. Which is right, was the clock not started after action resumed or was it not stopped when the wrestlers went out of bounds? In the first scenario, a grievous mistake was made and the wrestler deserves better. In the latter, while at this level one would hope that a clock situation would be handled better, the wrestler has no one to blame but himself (never let up especially if your opponent hasn't).

What's so funny? Seriously, I would like to see other Regional & Conference numbers. Are there any other Regionals that can boast 27 or more SQ's & are there any other Conferences that can boast 21 or more SQ's?

The Castle Regional (The Meat Grinder) had 27 wrestlers qualify for state out of the E'ville S.S. 4-Champs 9-2nds 7-3rds 7 4ths At 119 all 4 qualifiers are from the Castle Regional & the SIAC conference 125 & 160, 3 of the qualifiers are from the Castle Regional The SIAC conference had 21 wrestlers qualify for State. (Very Impressive) 3-Champs 8-2nds 5-3rds 5-4ths

What is really bad here is that if the clock was not started when the action resumed then the match was already extended by extra time. So if anything, time should have been taken off the clock not added again. So it sounds as if this match was extended by 10 seconds(+/-).
