head to head vs tournament style might (will) bring differ
ent results......don't discount the penn army!
-
yeah they have some great coaches for sure and seem to building one hell of a program!
-
I see in looking at some of todays scores that Brownsburg outscored their competition 354-13 over five matches? Wow are they that good or what?
-
since you both are probably older (beyond high school) you should have a wrestle off (thumb wrestling only) to determine who has he edge......
-
but in the end he didn't really "beat" him.......he just won the match based on the other guy getting hurt......kinda like saying your record is 30-0 when 15 of your "victories" are forfeits........you are 30-0 but didn't really "win" half those matches.......you were handed them.......and just to clarify i am not taking anything away from the Tyler kid......he is probably a tough kid and all........after all, he wouldn't be an INDIANA wrestler if he wasn't.......like someone said a win is a win.......nobody probably ever declined the win on their record just cause it came from an injury default or forfeit.....
so is there an issue between M109R and sportsfangms or something?..........lol.......i gotta say i liked your comebacks on each other.......

The Elkhart Truth does a great job!
-
tieshawn johnson indiana tech (red shirt freshman)
-
According to the result page he did. That is one of the reasons I like that kid so much.
He is will to wrestle anyone anytime. Major props to him!
that's why he is as good as he is......tough competition only makes you better.....

Did McKinney bump up to wrestle Cash last night?
-
-
Kaleb Summers back in Memorial's line up?! Thats gotta be a nice addition.
I think he will be quite the surprise to many other 220's.......he seems to have picked up right where he left off a few years ago.......
-
What was Eli's score vs. Chesterton's Andrew Davidson?
according to my son davidson didn't wrestle that match......not sure who they had in there......
Notable matches :
138) Tommy Cash - Lawrence North over Tony Vaughn Elkhart Memorial 6-1
Portage goes 4-0, Chesterton chooses not to wrestle them in final round (again!)
Diego Lemley - Chesterton, Freshman looked solid at 138 losing to Vaughn 8-3 (should be down to 132 soon)
Jack Tolin - Chesterton, 4-0 @ 120
Tyler Joseph - Portage, 4-0 @ 132
Colin Poynter - Portage, 4-0 @ 106
missing a bunch I'm sure but these kids looked good today.
lemley is a tough young kid to watch out for......he's a gamer for sure......

Elkhart Memorial
David Eli 5-0 @ 182
Kaleb Summers 5-0 @ 220

yes it is tomorrow.......i know for sure elkhart memorial and chesterton will be there!......i was trying to find out the other teams earlier this week but it seems to be top secret.......the 5 teams noted above were all there last year and i believe all will be back but from what i heard at least one "other" team dropped out and some new team from illinois is coming in.......but that is merely hearsay so if nothing else we shall know in the morning......
-
The classed polls only vote for 10 teams, while the one with all schools vote for top 20. So Bloomington South has a 1 cause they only got a #10 vote by a coach. Looks like Elkhart Memorial just didn't get any top 10 votes.
gotcha.......thanks!
-
how does elkhart memorial get ranked in the poll that is for all schools but not in the classed poll?......we are 17th in the "all school" poll and if you would take out a couple of smaller schools we would be at least 15th but not shown in the top 16 that are noted in the 3a.......just wondering......
-
tough call but if red and james wrestled tomorrow, would you declare the winner the best P4P (if you take lee and whomever else out of the mix)?.....if so, then you really have to go back to april where james won......at this point, until he is "dethroned" by red, i would have to say he is, based on that match, the man.........but.......lol
none the less, with that said, i think red is the next 4 timer and if he isn't the "best in indiana" now, he will be soon.....
-
I don't think I ever stated that they didn't win the event last year, I merely pointed out that I missed the time where they won multiple titles, whether it be individually or as a team, that would justify a person posting silliness like, "If Penn sends the Varsity, everyone else will battle for second". I think there are several teams that would have something to say about that and am looking forward to some entertaining matches. Penn is a very good team and I'm happy they are a part of the event.
i think you will see that M109R isn't being silly.......
-
Anyone know all of the teams at Chesterton this weekend? I heard one or two dropped out and there is possibly a team from Illinois coming in?
-
Have Kayla and Sarah ever wrestled? Now that they are both in college are there any upcoming potential match ups?
-
geez he only lost by one point which in my eyes means these two are pretty much on par with each other.....
-
Is the cheesy named (lol) "Mr. Gorilla" award based on the wrestlers performance for this upcoming season only or does it take into consideration previous years accomplishments? I'm assuming it must since you listed previous accolades of each kid.
-
dang......nick lee took quite a jump from the discussions as to can he win state this year to how he would do against a national/international champion.....
-
this is a great tournament. I know quite a few that have been and they all loved it. We are taking Tommy this year. Hope to see you guys out there.
