  1. Just to be clear, my situation, dual enrollment, was a little different than this Bill and gave me little advantage in high school athletics. I had to complete every assignment and test (taken in the presence of the guidence department so that I would not cheat )every other athlete at LC had to complete. I was held to the same grade requirements as every other athlete. Basically I was enrolled as a student but only attended school on test days and for practice. The only difference for me was instead of of having expert teachers to teach me content, I had to teach myself with the help of my mother (a saint without a college degree). I did eventually start going to school full time my senior year to take calc and chem/phys and other higher level classes. Now, I'm a public school teacher ;D Go figure.
  2. IOWA. Not just great wrestling, but the atmosphere and wrestlers you meet is second to none. Awesome experience.
  3. Do Cords count as jeans or are they dress pants Also, what about wearing designer jeans with a shirt, tie, and jacket? We need specific rules so everyone knows what is classy and what is not!
  4. They are tough. We are proud to be in the same conference.
  5. I don't know which one is toughest because I have only been to New Castle (as a wrestler and coach). However, I find it hard to believe that there was any more exciting semi state going on this year than New Castle. Kids almost getting DQ'd, fans coming down on the mats and getting thrown out, upsets, ranked wrestlers meeting in every round, and, no offense officials, some controversial calls. Man, what a great day of wrestling. I love this sport.
  6. I had the great opportunity to meet Trey at 7 on 7 at IU this summer and had a great conversation with his father. I also got to see him wrestle at Connersville this year. I don't know how many people know him but Trey seems to have it all going for him. He is an outstanding QB, hard nosed wrestler, and most of all, a great young man. He is a great advocate for our sport. I'm rooting for him this year and in the future. Joshua Holden Greenfield-Central Head Wrestling Coach Defensive Coordinator
  7. The first Greenfield-Central Friendship Dual on Thursday, January 3rd has been cancelled due to the weather. We will try to hold one every Thursday in february at G-C. If interested in coming shoot me an e-mail. It is free and only takes a couple hours.
  8. "In the air tonight" - Phil Collins. Weird, I know. But, it gets me pumped.
  9. Seems like Nick Hull and Hines were close. I think they only missed wrestling in the regional final?
