  1. I am laying odds right now that this Wrestler WILL NOT graduate from Yorktown. We are less than 80 days away from graduation he will wrestler for them through the tournament and then transfer back to his BELOVED high school. I as a parent cannot tell you how much respect I have lost for everyone involved. I am talking from the wrestlers parents to the governing bodies. I think that the Yorktown Coach should resign his spot on the IHSWCA. If you hide behind "HE was released by this school.", rule then you are not a man.
  2. Does that wrestler have to wrestle after weighing in? Or could you take a wrestler have him weigh in and not wrestle him until sectionals?
  3. The Fightings Scots of Alma Michigan. Great NEWS for Wrestling. Nice little campus, been through many times.
  4. Sorry Did not know that about injury at the CAP. Is having a great season, hope he keeps it up. Hope all the big boys get there Healthy. Most of these guys have had some kind of injury this season. Stay healthy through Conseco.
  5. Shows true dedication. Tonte is fortunate to be able to reload almost any spot. Aren't they running with a few backs up in right now?
  6. I also think Schall finished dead last at Capital City Classic. Are these rankings based on all season long or who is wrestling the best right now? Cause I think there is going to be a huge shake up at HWT! I think there can be 9 ranked wrestlers at the New Castle SS, if I saw it correctly. Not sure Cheh if is coming back. But there are 4 ranked wrestlers that could end up at Perry Regional. Schall, Cheh, Decker and White. I think that wrestler from Perry Naghten could make a lot of noise if he brings his "A" game. Saw him at Conference IN and wrestled smart the whole day. Just about 30 days away from finding out. Good Luck to everyone.
  7. When , where and what weight will Andre be when he comes back?
  8. Will Taylor the heavy weight from Ben Davis be back for this? Has he wrestled this year? He had a good year last year.
  9. Unfortunately it is all about the WIN! More tarnish on the sport we LOVE! And don't expect the IHSAA to do anything, except throw this back in our faces. " Wrestling Coaches aren't moral enough to not allow this to happen, we can't support them when they cannot even tell the difference from right and wrong." You REAP what you SOW! One wrestlers parent did get a job out of state and it was talked about at the beginning of the season that it might happen. One is moving in with another parent. So let him wrestle next year at that school. One is moving over an hour away, and pretty sure there wasn't a parent job involved(WINK). But, maybe grandma and grandpa have a place there, so lets avoid the punishments and send him there. Did they start shopping their wrestler closer to home ? Was Yorktown the first one that said yes? What parents even consider this? Your child will transfer out through wrestling season then transfer back to get his beloved diploma from the school he attended for 3 .5 years. Shameful to say the least.
  10. Just more tarnish on the reputation of this sport. Sad commentary on the sport that we all claim to LOVE.
  11. Here is an article you should read. Mount Union trainer killed on return from meet. Keep this wrestling community in your thoughts and prayers. http://www.d3sports.com/notables/2011/01/mount-union-open-letter
  12. Has anyone else seen the article about the North Central Wrestler and the huge open wound on his head? Almost lost my lunch looking at that. How did he pass skin check? Check out fox59.com
  13. So for example are you saying that: The Crown Point Perry Meridian match up would favor Crown Point about 50.8 % of the time. and that the CP EMD would favor CP 55.25% of the time. Is that what you are telling us?
  14. What time does this start??????? TW does not say.
  15. Not picking a winner. But the spread will be 3 or less. Hope that it is not a first round match up. There has to be something that can be done to separate these two teams until the final. Have been wondering since last week, how Perry drops in the Coaches poll after defeating I believe 12 teams that were ranked in the top 20 through out the year? Good luck to all of Indiana's wrestlers in the final stretch. Stay healthy and wrestle hard.
  16. Why are you bringing it up NOW then? It doesn't matter if it was Bellmont or NOT! You are missing great wrestling if you are so focused on that one or two good matches in your head.
  17. WOW! Is this a "PRANKED" post, because you can't be serious!!! I think you should personally e-mail all the coaches and ask before you spend your $5. I am sure that they would all take the time to let you know, if you will get your dollars worth. You are the only one they are concerned about. Making sure you get your $$ worth. In your world I would be able to get a refund for a movie that only showed the 5 good scene on the advertisements. This is not PRO wrestling, and these kids or the coaches are not getting this money. If you truly are only going to watch 1 or 2 "good" matches not sure you are the type of fan that this sport needs. There were GREAT MATCHES at Bellmont that involved non ranked kids that have worked there butts off all season and have pride in doing the best they can. LIFE is NOT FAIR.
  18. I was watching our wrestler getting ready to get his award. Wasn't premeditated looking for something to complain about. I actually waited a few days, to check it out with the wrestler. Like I said earlier, I was hoping that the father had acted in the hallways or earlier in the afternoon. I have not witnessed this person, do anything like this before. Although, I do not like the way he behaves at meets. This father knows the wrestler he snubbed, very well, and his parents as well. The entitled comment was, because this person has been a referee before, and thinks he can do whatever he wants. The eye contact is BS, this parent had an opportunity to be a man and wasn't. If he wasn't going to shake all of there hands, then he should have waited until the awards were given and approach these wrestlers after that time. Please keep the comments coming. Still trying to figure this mentality out.
  19. Because this FATHER feels he is entitled. Having been a referee, he knows he can push the envelope. Another great lesson to be taught our wrestlers. The signs that say "WRESTLERS and COACHES ONLY" don't apply to you.
  20. I don't see how that is important. I am hoping the offender sees this and makes it right with this wrestler and his family. Here is one important factor though, this is not MY son. This was a young man who has worked hard for a lot of years, and I just felt it inappropriate for a father let alone a wrestling referee to act this way.
  21. This Post might seem like a rant, and maybe it is. But, something has been bothering me since late Saturday afternoon. I would like to get it off my chest and hear others responses. Last Saturday at an Individual tournament, I witnessed something that made my blood boil. We were in the final round and weight classes were being awarded following the next match. As wrestlers were sitting to get there medals, a father of one of the wrestlers went down the line and congratulated the the 4th , 3rd and 1st place wrestler, shaking their hands. I was totally appalled that this father would not shake the 2nd place finishers hand. Now you might think that the 2nd place finisher had beaten his son this day. Not the case, he shook the wrestlers hand that had beaten his wrestler that day. Actually I will have to look at the brackets, I think he actually shook 2 kids hands that beat his son this day. Not wanting to make a scene and wanting to get my facts straight, I waited until today to approach the 2nd place finisher and ask him if this is what happened. The more I thought about, the more I thought, hey maybe this dad had congratulated the wrestler in the hall or on the way to the podium, at another point in the afternoon. NO the father had not commented to the 2nd place finisher. My rant is about sportmanship, or lack of it. A grown man is teaching this to his children, I just don't get it. To make matters worse this father I have seen in REF stripes. This man, who our wrestlers are suppose to look up to when he is refereeing, is going to act like an idiot. I don't get it. You have to give respect to receive it. And you will never get it from me, now. Thanks for letting me vent.
  22. I think it is AWESOME leadership of both of these programs, to respect each other. I am sure that either of these Head Coaches could call on the other in a bind and the other woul ddrop what they were doing to help out. I have been around these programs for a long time. I have seen Tammy E. at Perry when Roncalli wasn't wrestling, sitting and chatting with her "Perry " friends. I have seen Perry and Roncalli sharing food at ISWA tournaments, feeding each others Coaches. I have told my kids, they can be your friends off the mat, but once you step on it, there are no friends. I may have been a little harsh earlier, with DemOGuy, but what he needs to remember is that you have to give respect to receive it. Calling wrestlers out by name and in bold letters, is not respectful. If you want to post that you think there will be an upset then call it. It's easy to criticize, from the cheap seats. These are still young men that have a lot of pressure on them. I hope that NO ONE ever questions the heart of any wrestler. A young student who is expected to commit as many hours in the wrestling room and classroom as all these students definitely has heart. Best of Luck to all the wrestlers and teams. Stay healthy. Wrestle strong.
  23. Sorry DUM-O-GUY, Just too hard to follow you! I can't find it right now, but aren't you the same one that told the Rankings Guy that Coop should be #2 just 2 weeks ago. The problem is that you spout crazy information on her every week and you are right only about 15%, thats FAILING. No one is challenging the HEART of any wrestler in these posts. You as an adult chose to post lies and misinformation about what you think is happening, not in this post but others. PMHS Coaches respect Roncalli just as much as RHS coaches respect them. You are the only disrespectful one here. Let the young men wrestle and we will see how it plays out. I am guessing that your son has found a way to make it to Roncalli. Since you stopped supporting Warren and switched alliances to RHS. This match has very little to do with anything. the match that really counts is at Center Grove in about 3 months. Best of Luck to all wrestlers, may they reach their full potential and God forbid any injuries in all of these matches.
