  1. Wrestlers in Business Network recently launched a career center website where wrestlers can search for and apply for jobs/internships. This website looks/feels like other job search websites with one exception: the companies advertising their openings are specifically looking for wrestlers. The website can be found at: https://careers.wrestlersinbusiness.org/ This is 100% free and is available for anyone with a connection to wrestling: wrestlers, former wrestlers, coaches, parents of wrestlers, etc. In addition to the job/internship search capability, there are also free services to include: resume review, career counseling, career exploration, and interview tips. This website has been a goal of Wrestlers in Business Network for a few years and we are super excited to finally launch. Wrestlers in Business Network (WIBN) is a non-profit organization consisting of 24 Chapters across the country. We have a goal to expand to new Chapters and are actively on-boarding. The goal of Wrestlers in Business Network is to help wrestlers find career and business opportunities. Our motto is “Buy From, Sell To, and Hire Wrestlers”. You can find out more about WIBN at https://www.wrestlersinbusiness.org/V

  2. I think people who love the sport get burnt out from the sport when others dictate their involvement in it. cael and David are creative in some/many ways and they can’t be as creative in some environments. David has mentioned his high school training being great but not as mentally stimulating due to the repetition. Cael seems to be extremely innovative end you can’t innovate as much as you want when you aren’t in charge of a program. The tough part of coaching and parenting is that the primary goal is to foster great habits that stay with the child for a lifetime. Everyone often shortcuts this goal by lighting fires under kids that burn brightly but are extinguished as soon as the parent/coach’s bellow stops feeding the flames. as a coach you have to dictate others involvement in many ways, so there will always be places of push back or burn out or abandonment from athletes who aren’t taking every opportunity to improve. This is natural, but it is the art of coaching a high school closed community team.
