patriotpride
I think if everyone could take out their rulebook, and go to section 7-6 article 6 c. where it does state it is stalling when either wrestler repeatedly creates a stalemate situation to prevent an opponent from scoring. So the question is not whether or not the wrestler was stalling or not. But did the official determine that the wrestler was the one that was creating the stalemate situation repeatedly. If so, then stalling should have been called. Could there have been or was there some preventive officiating where the official told the offending wrestler that he was creating the stalemate situation and would need to improve from that position and repeated acts of that kind would be penalized? Maybe? Keep in mind there are two wrestlers on the mat, and by not penalizing one wrestler is actually sometimes penalizing the other.
Matt Time
This is why I like the passivity clock in freestyle. While that too can be somewhat subjective, it gives the wrestler :30 to work and prevent giving up the point.
