Academy
Bo Nickal's Bio - Bo Nickal just completed his red shirt freshman year as the starting 174 lber. for Penn State University. Nickal helped lead the Nittany Lions to an undefeated Dual Season, National Duals Title, Big Ten Tournament Title, and the NCAA National Championship. During the season Nickal twice earned Big Ten Wrestler of the week honors and was named the Outstanding Wrestler at the Southern Scuffle, where he won the 174 lb. Title. Bo ended the season with a 33-2 record with 24 bonus point wins. He won an individual Big Ten Title and was an NCAA Runner-up. In the off season Bo competes in Freestyle for the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club. Nickal has won numerous National and International freestyle and Greco Roman titles, including the coveted USA Wrestling Triple Crown. Bo was a Cadet World Team member, USA Junior National Champion and took 1st place at the International Tournament of Champions in Turkey. Bo arrived at Penn State from Allen, Texas, where he emerged as one of the Nation's top high school wrestlers. He brought three Texas state titles and a career record of 183-7 record, including 131 pins. Nickal competed in the Dapper Dan Classic, as well as the 2014 USA Dream Team dual, winning both events. Nickal’s exciting attack style of wrestling has wrestlers and fans on the edge of their seats when he takes the mat. He is always looking for the pin from every wrestling position. Bo has multiple attacks that keep his opponents off balance, not knowing whether he is going upper body or low level. When not wrestling, Bo enjoys Bible studies, Church, Basketball, and playing “Clash of Clans”.
